Chapter 15.

Hey beautiful(s), one day you will realise that you worried too much about things that don't really matter :)

      D-day. The boys were backstage getting ready for their press conference which was in one hour. Jake, Sunghoon and Jungwon were ready while the other four were still getting their make up on. Jake felt anxiety creep up in his mind. He was practicing so hard for this day and now since the day was finally here, he couldn't help but feel nervous. Though they already had rehearsed for their conference, he was still not 100% sure if he will be able to do his best.

      Sunghoon notice Jake taking few deep breaths. To others, it might seem that Jake was just nervous but Sunghoon knew better. He approached the older in order to calm him down. "Jake." The called man heard someone call his name and he looked to his right to see Sunghoon looking at him worriedly. "Are you okay?" Sunghoon asked. Jake nodded and softly whispered, "I will be fine."

      But Sunghoon knew that Jake was saying this just because he wouldn't worry more. He sighed, "Come with me." Sunghoon ordered taking Jake's hand in his and informing the staff that they will be back. Jake just silently followed Sunghoon not finding his voice to talk. Sunghoon took Jake to the washroom. He pulled Jake with him to the washroom.

      Jake was leaning against the wall, eyes closed and trying to calm his breathing. "Hey, talk to me." Sunghoon said cupping Jake's face into his hands. Sunghoon could see the sweat beads forming on Jake's forehead. "I am just too nervous. What if I can't do it correctly? What if I make a mistake and mess up? What if I forget what to say? What i-" Jake was cut off from rambling when he was pushed in the taller's chest.

      Sunghoon couldn't see Jake so nervous so he felt like he should do something so he hugged the other, pulling Jake towards him. "You shouldn't be worried. If you stay this nervous, you will even forget what you remember. And it doesn't matter if you do any mistake. It is our first time and no one expects you to do perfectly well. No one will be disappointed in you. And I know you will do your best." Sunghoon said all while holding Jake in his arms.

      Jake, who hugged back, was now slowly but finally getting calm. "I don't know what I'd do without you." Jake mumbled which Sunghoon heard. "Don't worry. I too don't know how I would function without you." Sunghoon replied back. Jake broke off the hug and stared at the taller which Sunghoon stared back. After a while, Jake felt blush forming on his cheeks, "I th-think we should g-go back."

      Sunghoon saw the latter blushing and had a big urge to squish his cheeks but he controlled himself before nodding back. They both came back to the dressing room where all of them were ready. "Finally. I thought we are just gonna go on the stage without you both." Jay exaggerated seeing that the two best friends are now back. The two of them just shook their head because they are used to Jay's extra behaviour.

      "But where were you hyungs?" The leader asked. "I went to calm Jake since he minutes away from anxiety attack." Sunghoon explained. "Jake hyung, don't be so nervous. I know you will do your best." The youngest assured while side hugging him. Sunghoon, who saw the scene, felt the unsettling feeling but chose to ignore it since he very well knew what it was and he was just minutes away from finally debuting so he shouldn't dwell on it.

      "Alright boys, you are going on the stage in 5 minutes. I know you all may be nervous but don't be. You all will do your very best. I trust you all. We will support you from here." Their manager said. The boys did their 'Enha' cheering before going on the stage.

      After the press conference was over, all of them came backstage to their changing room. Sunghoon was the first one to enter while Sunoo and Jake were the last ones to enter. "I did it. I didn't make any mistake." Jake was so happy that he was doing mini jumps and when he saw Sunghoon he quickly went over to hug him. Sunghoon was caught off guard but hugged him back. You think he would miss Jake's hugs? Never.

      "Thank you Sunghoon-ah." Jake thanked him. "No need to thank me Jake." Sunghoon said back hugging him tightly. After a while, they broke the hug and were now getting ready for their performances. "Boys, congratulations on your debut. I hope we will work diligently in the future as well. Wish you all the luck." The manager wished them.

      The boys were happy to have such a caring manager as well as the staff. They never failed to take care of the boys. The boys were again on the stage to perform their title songs 'Given-Taken', and after 'Flicker', following it was 'Let Me In' and lastly it was '10 Months'. The boys now completed their debut ceremony and were going to their dorm.

      Once they reached their dorm, they wasted no time in collapsing on the couch. Sunghoon sat on the couch and Jake just laid down on the couch with his head in Sunghoon's lap while Sunghoon gently caressing Jake's head which he always does. The same case with Ni-ki lying on the couch with his head in Sunoo’s lap while the other three just sat on the couch. It was good that their couch was big enough so that they all could fit even while lying down.

      "Ah. I want to drink water but can't get enough strength to get up." Jake whined. Sunghoon put Jake's head on the sofa and stood up. Jake confused with Sunghoon suddenly standing up looked back to see that Sunghoon was no where to be found.  "He went in the kitchen. Probably to fetch you water." Heeseung said to Jake. "No hyung. Maybe he himself is thirsty." Jake reasoned out.

      At that moment Sunghoon appeared with a glass of water in his hands. He gave the glass to Jake who was looking at him confusedly. "What? Didn't you say you need water?" Sunghoon asked. "So you went to kitchen to bring me water?" Jake asked to which Sunghoon nodded. Jake nevertheless took the glass and drank the water but didn't miss the smirk on Heeseung's face.

      "Sunghoon, I too want to drink water." Jay said. "Okay? Then go get it." Sunghoon replied back and sat down again on the couch and pulling Jake back to him in a way that he was back hugging him. The members didn't question this act since they know that Jake and Sunghoon are too close. "Then, why did you get it for Jake?" Jay protested. "I had some work and thought of getting Jake his water." Sunghoon shrugged.

      Lies. The moment he heard that Jake wants to drink water but is too tired to get up, he himself went into the kitchen to get water for Jake but he would never admit this, especially not in front of the members when they just debuted.

      "Yeah. As if I will believe it." Jay rolled his eyes. Jake still confused about what on earth they both were talking about just looked at them dumbfounded. "Okay, I think we should sleep now. It's 11:52 and we need to wake up early tomorrow. Don't forget our promotions start from tomorrow. All of you need to wake up early, specially Heeseung hyung, Sunghoon hyung and Ni-ki." Jungwon listed out.

      All of them quickly agreed and changed their clothes. After everyone went to sleep and Sunghoon was sure that no one was awake, he went over to Jake's bed. He could see Jake's face illuminated by the moonlight. He softly caressed his cheeks and bent down to kiss his forehead and with a 'good night' he went to his bed and was knock out cold.
