♛Chapter 1☆

It's a typical Saturday afternoon and my best friends Alexis DiMarco , Chelsea Wood and I are sitting inside The Vibe Cafe in Bergmont,where we all live .It's the last few weeks before summer vacation ends and before we start our junior year.We're all wearing our own variations of tank tops, sandals, and bum shorts. The air smells fruity and the soft sound of classical music carries neatly around the room.

As we sip our smoothies, I look up at my friends and say, "We've only got a week of summer left before school starts.We need to go back to school with a bang." "We could throw a party." Chelsea suggests. "Great idea, Chels. But where would it be held?" I ask. "We can have it here. What do you think,Brooke?" Alexis asks as she turns to face me. "This place is waay to small to have a party.You need to think bigger Lexi." "I've got it!we'll throw it at my hou-" I cut her off. "No,no,no,no! It would be social suicide,a total disaster!There's no way anyone would enjoy themselves at your house."

Don't get me wrong,Alexis' house is great.Beautiful even.it's an old Spanish mansion facing the beach.It's just that her mom and dad are ever Trying to be"cool parents" and always home,fussing over her,which is more than I can say for my own parents.Her mom and dad are more of parents to me than my own.

"I agree with Brooke. " Chels,whose blue-black hair is gathered in a side braid says while looking down and fiddling with the rings on her long fingers . Lexi flushes,which just makes the freckles on her nose and cheeks stand out more.

As I'm thinking of my practically always absent parents, I remember something. My parents won't be around all week!

"Hey guys,I have the perfect solution. We have it at my house.It's big enough for people from other schools to come and It's only fitting that It's at my house.I am the queen bee after all. " My house is the largest in Bergmont ,sits on the only hill and you can see the whole town from it.

They reflect on what I said for a moment, knowing I'm right.(I always am).

"We need to make it a party to remember.. It shouldn't just be called a party.It should have a name, like project X. Get your thinking caps on girls." Chelsea pretends to put on a hat,which isn't really funny but I laugh anyways because I'm a good bestie. Or atleast I try to be.

I take out my phone and write down the party names we have come up with in the last few minutes and read them out:

" 'The Partaay',

'The Bash',

'The Last Day Of Summer Bash',

'The Party On The Hill ',

'The All-nighter'.

Seriously? Most of these names are terrible. But I quite like 'Last Day Of Summer Bash' and 'Party On The Hill.They're very apt.But I can't decide which is better " "I know what to do. Let us flip a coin. Heads its POTH, tails its LDOSB." Lexi says and flips a coin. It lands on POTH. She then asks if I'm satisfied or disappointed. I tell her I am disappointed. "Which means deep down you wanted it to be LDOSB all along.You just didn't know it." She tells me as she ties her strawberry blonde hair into a pony tail. Alexis acts really daft sometimes but she's always the smart one when you need her to be .

My phone chimes,telling me I have a notification. I check and it says,'Your Facebook friend Rosalie Miles has tagged you in a post.' I think,wow.I haven't seen or heard from Rose since middle school. I click on the notification and it takes me to her wall. And there it is..a picture of a girl posing next to a sign saying 'welcome to Bergmont and the caption :I'm Baack!!

A scowl is formed on my face and I let out an exasperated sigh,confusing my best friends.

Finally finished chapter 1.Will start chapter 2. ASAP .I'd like to change the title of this story 'cause I'm not a big fan of the one it has now but I can't think of a fitting title. Keep reading and message me your suggestions or comment them. Thanks for reading!
