epilogue.

one year later.

everyone stares at him as renjun walks down the hallway. his skin crawls everytime a person bumps onto him and their skins touch slightly. he hates the feeling of someone touching and staring at him.

except one person.

lee donghyuck.

as soon as he saw the older, he immediately runs towards him and gives him a tight hug. "hyung! i missed you!"

donghyuck hugs him back, "did we just see each other this morning?" he chuckles and ruffles the younger's hair. "how are you, baby?"

"quite okay. i just took three exams today, i was so tired. but now that you're here, i'm fully charged." renjun giggles while looking up at his boyfriend.

"you're so adorable." donghyuck pokes the tip of his nose and renjun lets out a small tiny noise that the older loves. "let's go home, shall we?"

"let's go!" renjun exclaims happily before pulling away from the hug. he holds the older's hand and interlaces their fingers together.

they fit like puzzle pieces.

"thank you for being always there for me, my love," renjun says, cheeks flushed.

"i will be always there for you, my baby. i love you, sweetheart."

"i love you, too."

"hyung, i thought we're going home?" renjun asks, being gently dragged by donghyuck to a fancy restaurant.

"we're going to eat. today's a special day!" donghyuck replies, smiling at him.

renjun smiles back. he thinks he already knows what's his boyfriend talking about.

they sit across each other and a waitress gives them a menu book.

renjun scans the menu before smiling to himself, already knows what to order.

when donghyuck's done with the menu book, he calls the waitress and tells her his order. "i'll have pork belly with rice and corn soup." the waitress writes down his order. he then looks at renjun, "how 'bout you, baby?"

"uhm," renjun fidgets on his fingers under the table. "fried shrimp with rice, and... b-broccoli soup."

the waitress nods and writes down renjun's order in her mini notepad. "what about for drinks, sir?"

"we'll have two glasses of red tea, please," donghyuck adds.

"do you perhaps want to purchase one pitcher of red tea instead?" the waitress offers.

donghyuck looks at renjun, smiling, "do you want that?"

renjun nods, "yes."

"okay, we'll have that instead. thank you," donghyuck says and the waitress writes it down.

"all right, please wait for 15-20 minutes, sir. thank you so much!" the waitress bows before leaving their table.

"i noticed her sunflower bracelet. i kinda want something like that," renjun suddenly says, pushing himself closer to the table.

donghyuck looks at him and smirks slightly, "you want a sunflower bracelet?" renjun nods shyly. "i will buy you one tomorrow."

"ah, really? no, you don't have to, hyung. ah! oh my god!" renjun bites his lower lip, "i'm so shy."

donghyuck giggles, scrunching his nose. "injun-ah, why are you so cute?" he coos at the teenager. "don't be shy. i will seriously buy tomorrow a sunflower bracelet for you."

renjun pouts, "okay. thank you, hyung."

"sure!" donghyuck smiles widely. "by the way, i have something to give you."

"what is it?" renjun watches him with wide eyes as he gets something from the pocket of his pants.

"this." a small red box is being shown to renjun and the latter can't help but to blush.

"w-what's that?"

donghyuck opens the box and it reveals an aquamarine ring. aquamarine is renjun's birth stone. "renjun,"

"h-hyung, oh my god—yes."

donghyuck laughs softly, "i will wait until you graduate college before i marry you. but for now, please receive this ring that as lovely as you. today celebrates our 1st anniversary."

renjun's tears start to flow down his cheeks. he couldn't help it.

"i-it's beautiful. i don't deserve it." renjun sobs.

"shh, you definitely deserve it, okay? you're both beautiful. give me your hand." renjun lends his left hand and donghyuck slides the ring onto the younger's ring finger. "oh, thank god, it fits! it was really meant for you. it suits you, injun-ah."

renjun shyly smiles, "donghyuck hyung, you've done so much for me. i can't thank you enough."

"no, you don't need to thank me. you deserve all my love and care, okay? stop crying now." donghyuck leans closer to wipes his boyfriend's tears off his face.

"happy anniversary!" renjun says and holds donghyuck's hand, the ring blushes onto his skin.

the older interlaces their fingers together and kisses the back of the teenager's hand, "i love you." he whispers.

"i love you too."

all renjun hoped was peaceful life and someone to make him feel loved and special. now that he got what he hoped for, he doesn't want to let go.

to renjun, donghyuck is home. so is renjun to donghyuck.
