Later that night after unloading all the groceries, were sitting around chillin watching animation domination when an emergency broadcast comes on. Carson from Good Morning America is reporting from Town Square in New York about riots going on.
" Most of the rioters seem to be elderly people, people who normally wouldn't elicit this type of behavior. The first symptoms were reported late yesterday afternoon and include extreme irritation and anger. At the moment police have everything under control. If you or a family member start showing any of these symptoms, report to the nearest emergency room for treatment. This is Carson Daly reporting live from Time Square."
Carson Daly is so damn hot. I grew up watching him as the VJ on MTV back when MTV was still cool. I saw an interview he'd done where he said he was still single so maybe there's still a chance for us. (baahaaaaahaaaaaaa!)
Old people going batshit crazy huh? Pretty fucked up. What's this world coming to when grandma's stop baking cookies and start beating the shit out of you? Gah, I can't imagine my Granny acting violent. The old broad would tell off the comcast operator in a heartbeat then in the next breath tell you what you NEED to be doing with your life, all without a single cuss word. Never violence tho.
I imagine all of this probably has something to do with that damn flu shot though. They're probably mad that they're $10 co-pay was useless and they were refused a refund. Regardless, I was a little dumb struck. The neighborhood my parents house is in is full of old fuckers. Sucks, no hot guys.

The next couple of days were pretty uneventful. We sat around mostly watching TV. We went outside to the lake in the backyard and would ride the paddle boat or fish. It's winter break for the kids, which was awesome, but even awesomer was the weather was def non winter. Living in the south you have very strange weather, one being 70 degree winters then early spring you get a foot of snow. We're pretty used to it. Summer, on the other hand, was always triple digits. You learn to love it or you move north. I myself love summer so GFY.
On the fourth day I get a text from dad. Wow, roaming charge from being in international waters, haha.

'The cruise line is refusing to dock in Mexico so we're headed back a little earlier than planned. Unrest in Mexico of some sort. I'll call you when we sick in Galveston and headed home. Love you.'

Wait..what? What the fucks going on in mexico? I had seen on the little scrolly thingy on the news a few times of more riots, mostly in big cities and not just all old people anymore but haven't really thought anything of it. There have been no more 'breaking alerts' and Obama has pretty much kept his trap shut since declaring the pandemic.
I got on the laptop to look up some Mexican news channels and BLAM! Cops in full riot gear with shields and batons beating and crowds in the streets, american law enforcement trying to hold the border together but large crowds were breaking thru, and the last thing was the blood. People were covered in blood. Running, walking, limping, crawling. Fighting back against the law enforcement trying to keep them in Mexico. They were getting across and it looked like the border patrol was loosing.
