Jin has always told us to never make a move on his sister when he informed us about her. He even said, "Especially you, Taehyung."
I didn't care at first because I am a ladies' man and a single girl will never satisfy me that's why I don't do commitments. One thing I promised to myself was to never go for my friend's siblings because it would be taboo for our friendship.
Unfortunately, I broke my promise when I met an adorable girl in the vet. Her demeanor was cold but when she started talking to me, she was a shy one.
I wasn't into shy girls because I like confident ones more but I am somehow drawn to her. Even after knowing she was Jin's little sister I didn't stop pursuing her. Not in a stalker kind of way.
Jeongyeon was her name. Yoo Jeongyeon. A girl that is only almost a year younger than me. She wouldn't leave my mind even for a day. Even in class, she's all I think about. It's a miracle I haven't failed a subject.
We go to different schools and our classes end ten minutes earlier than them that's why every afternoon, instead of riding my bike home with Jimin like I used to, I would cycle quickly to their school and wait for her outside.
"Jeongyeon-ah!" I called her from the other side of the street. She's with her friend when she saw me.
"Taehyung!" She waved back at me with a smile.
I signaled her to wait for me and crossed the road. I happily walked towards them.
But then her friend, Nayeon, got in between the two of us with her hands on her hips.
"Hold up, boy. I kept silent for a whole week about this but I must know now." She said. "Not trying to be rude but why are you always here every afternoon for Jeongyeon, huh?"
I was surprised with her question.
"U-Uhh..."
That was a good question. Why? Why do I always want to see her after school? Why do I enjoy talking with her every night? Why do I always think about her?
"Don't be mean, Nayeon." Jeongyeon said to her friend. "Maybe Taehyung is just bored and he'd like to hang out with us."
"A guy this handsome can't be friendless, Jeongyeon." She deadpanned. "He can fish a lot of girls without even doing anything. Take our schoolmates for example."
