Mikasa's pov.
I shake eren "we're going to be late" I say but he just mumbles something just to roll over.

I grip his blanket yanking it off him making him jump up "hey!" He yells. "You slept in" I say. He picks his phone up seeing that we'll be late soon. He hurries up out of bed to get ready. I go back to my room to grab my backpack and phone.

I walk down to the front door to wait for him. Finally he comes rushing down "okay let's go-" he says opening the door running out. I smile seeing how he still has bed head. As we're walking eren is fixing his button shirt seeing that he messed up the first time.

I look forward seeing someone crunched down on the sidewalk. Eren was still trying to fix his shirt so I put my arm up stopping him. "What" "y/n?" I say making her jump. "Oh- hi" she says standing up. "What are you doing" eren says and she looks down. "Someone dropped something see the ants are eating at it" she says pointing down at the ground.

Eren's ice cream.. "you both going to school?" She asks. "Yeah you want to walk with us?" Eren says. "I don't go to school" "did you graduate?" "Huh? Oh no I'm homeschooled" y/n says pointing back at her house.

"Oh. How does that work" eren asks. I listen as she explained it. It's mainly online school. Her step-mom helps her with that apparently. "Sounds like a blast to be at home than at school honestly" Eren says smiling. "Ah not really.. it gets kinda lonely" she says looking down at her phone.

"The bell rings soon you should hurry-" "OH YEAH-" Eren yells grabbing my hand "bye y/n" and with that eren drags me to school. We were still late though.

I listen to armin talk about his book. "Doesn't that sound odd?" He asks. His eyes almost shimmered "yeah-" I say knowing I wasn't listening. "I know right it took him a whole book to finally tell the girl he killed her dad" he said. Wait what. Before I could say anything really the bell rings.

"Are you and eren going to be doing anything after school?" Armin asks while we exit the class. I stuff my homework in my folder. "I'm taking him to get ice cream after he pouted about yesterday" I explain looking up at him. Armin nods look down at his phone scrolling through something.

"Would you like to come with?" I mention. Maybe he can meet y/n she seems like she likes meeting new people. "Alright same place?" He asks and I nod. Our next class is coming up which is art. I figured why not take a extra class and even though I'm not all that great I'm more of a sport type though I could at least try.

"Did you finish the weekly drawing?" I ask as I set my bag on the table taking my art folder out. "Ah no- I still haven't found something or someone to draw.." he answers setting his stuff down too. "Well it's due Friday" I say. Currently being Wednesday he has only so much time.

The teacher explains some more art tips like perspective. After showing us an example the teacher lets us finish up on the weekly drawing.

The bell rings releasing us. I wait by the front door for Eren and Armin. I bury my face into my scarf as I wait. "You still have bed head?" I hear armin say. I look up seeing eren trying to fix his hair "yeah I've tried fixing it but it won't go down" Eren say giving up on fixing it and just putting a beanie on.

"Mikasa you ready?" I nod following the two. I listen as they tell jokes and tease each other like usual teen boys. "So how's your girlfriend" Eren looks over at Armin. "She's not my girlfriend!" Armin yells. "Oh yeah su r e" and they really aren't. Some people mistake annie and armin as siblings sometimes.

"I'm just being nice okay" armin says. "Well at least you're being nice" I say putting a hand on armin's shoulder looking at eren. "I can be nice!" "You yelled at mikasa for trying to help you" armin says. And yes eren did yell but that's just how eren is.

The boys argue as we come up to the shop "hey we're here you can be angry later" I say making them both nod. I hold the door open for them letting them go through. Eren goes from crabby to excited seeing the many ice cream flavors. He's almost jumping up and down like a child.

Armin standing next to Eren looking as well. "And. Its free real estate" eren asks. I nod. Though I probably should have gave them a limit. Eren almost made me broke with three scoops of ice cream. But seeing his smiling face made me feel better about yesterday.

"Ha-" "say thank you" armin scolds. "Oh right. Thank you mikasa!" Eren yells running out of the shop. "Thank you mikasa I'll buy ice cream for us next time" armin says smiling. I nod as we exit after eren.

Eren's ice cream is already melting but I don't want a repeat of yesterday. "Are you interested in the paranormal Armin" I say waiting for his response. "No not really- I don't like the idea of being scared of something I can't see" he explains. "Or just scary paranormal stuff in general" he adds looking at me.

"Why do you ask?" "I did some research on Eren's house for a school project and it turns out there's some news articles about a gruesome murder" I say before taking a lick of ice cream. I did shock Armin with this. It even made Eren stop in his tracks infront of us.

"R-really-" "yeah" they both look spooked. "That probably explains why your stuff goes missing" I say thinking back to when Eren's items would disappear. "How gruesomely we talking though" Eren asks seeming as curious as Armin is. I explain the details I remember but I must've got distracted cause I accidentally bumped into someone.
