I finally finished editing this book yesterday (or today because I finished it at 2 am) which I'm proud of, though I almost died because of mistakes that people actually read haha, but it was worth it!

2nd person's POV :

"Kazemaru and Kurimatsu had left the team." Those words left you speechless, but worried about how the captain of the team, Endou Mamoru, took the news.

It had been a few days since the accident and Endou didn't come to practice anymore, he stopped eating as well. Therefore, you started worrying about his health but stayed away just yet.

Many teammates tried to get him away from his depression, but the goalkeeper refused to listen to them as he spent most of his time in the top floor.

"I'm taking off Endou from the team." The words of Hitomiko-kantoku shocked you, even after a lot of attempts to make the woman change her mind, she hadn't taken back her decision. And that was enough for you to finally interfere to talk to Endou.

You found the guy you were searching for in his usual spot, staring down at the ground. You moved closer to him and sat by his side, falling into a dead silence as you used that moment to think about what you should say.

"I know that Kazemaru and Kurimatsu's departure left you devastated, but if you quit soccer, it won't solve the problem, will it? Look down at the others," Endou moved his eyes to look at his teammates who were practicing in the pitch, "Can you see their struggles to progress their skills? They know they are not the best yet, but they haven't quitted because they know they are capable of getting much better." Endou watched them from afar as he listened to your speech, processing every word and sentence that come out your lips.

"Everyone is worried about you, but for the sake of our friends who are still in the team, and those who left and those got injured, you can't just quit and let their trust in you fall down." And with that, you could see Endou's eyes widen as he got up and looked at you, then out of the blue, you were pulled into a warm embrace as the guy in front of you buried his face in your shoulder.

"Thank you, (Y/n). I have finally opened my eyes."

"You don't need to thank me, Endou. You know I'm always here for you," but to your surprise, your lips capture by Endou's ones in a short, sweet kiss.

"I need to go back to practice now! Thank you again, (Y/n)!" Thus, the goalkeeper ran out the door, leaving you blushing as you touched your lips with a smile.
