The first look / love at first sight

The Text Message And The Date (part 3)

I'm about to fall asleep and then a ping is what rings in my ear. I ignore it at first until I hear a second and a third. I look and it's Aidan! totally shocked he answers me. But why at 9:16 pm? Anyway, he types:

Aidan: Hey sorry I didn't pick up the phone I was busy if you don't mind I could come pick you up at 9:30 for a surprise first date?

Ashley: Sure, what shall I wear?

Aidan: Something comfy and warm whatever you would like.

Ashley: Perfect! See you soon.

My heart was happy and nervous. I was also a little curious, mystery man mystery date.

Once he picks me up I'm wearing a light coat and some jeans with a cute pair of mittens, a hat, and a scarf. My makeup is nude and I curled my hair. I can say I'm excited about the date but I'm more excited to see him again.

THE DATE:

Once arrived at my college he picks me up. His car is a rusty truck, it's not the latest model but it's clean and it smells amazing! He's wearing a coat, a hat, and jeans, almost like me.

- Where are we going? I ask

Aidan- Not saying yet. Do you trust me?

Ashley- yes why?

Aidan- Ok' if you do just wait and see.

Very nervous and curious I listen to him. After a long drive, we stop on top of a hill where we can see the whole city.

Aidan- Voila!

Ashley- Wow! The lights... It's just gorgeous!

Aidan- I knew it would be of your liking. Hope you're still hungry for a late-night snack?

Ashley- Of course.

He opens the basket and there some home baked goods and some special Portuguese wine. I think it looks really good.

Ashley- I dint know you could cook.

Aidan- Yes, my grand-mother's teached me when I was little.

After we ate, we looked at the view a little bit. Then he took me to a carnaval. We played games, we want on a Ferris wheel and he buyed me cotton candy.
It was that feeling again, the annoying butterfly's in my stomach. I still wasn't shure if I like it or if I dint like it.

At around 11:00 pm I asked him to take me home so I can get some sleep for school tomorrow.

Aidan- Sure

When he drives me home he leans in for a kiss

Ashley- Thanks and good night that was my first and best date.

Aidan- Your welcome I had lots of fun with you too. Good night!
*Ashley smiles*
*Aidan smiles back*

I go to my dorm and Aidan drives away in his truck.

I tell myself what a beautiful night this was. All happy and satisfied I go to bed exited for date numéro dos (number 2)...
