Coffee || Eren x Reader ||

Christmas Break|| Part 2

December 23th

Winters were a little warmer here than in Canada, but you were still really lucky to have snow. 

You got out of the car and walked next to Eren. You guys headed to a small cafe after doing the groceries. The crunch noise of the snow broke the silence. A fun idea came into your mind and you slowed your pace. You bent down to the ground and created a snowball with your bare hands. You giggled before throwing it at Eren. The ball hit the back of his head.

" HEADSHOT!" You screamed in victory, but Eren's look scared you. " Oh, no..." He bent down and grabbed some snow. You did the same, hurrying so you could dodge his throw. 

" You messed with the wrong guy dummy." He threw the ball at you, hitting your right shoulder.

 The fight soon escalated and you both ended up laying in the snow. 

" It's a tie... Dammit!" You said getting up. You helped Eren get up and laughed. You wiped the snow of his hair. 

" Let's go, inside. I'm freezing." He said with a chuckle. You agreed and walked towards the cafe. 

You ordered a Mocha and Eren a candy cane latte. You sat a small table with him. 

" So, we need to talk about tomorrow. I'm scared as fuck." You said with no shame. He smiled and took a sip of his latte.

" You shouldn't worry, Auncle Hange is the craziest. The rest are pretty chill, I guess." He paused and took another sip. " It's 3 hours of driving and we're staying there one night. Any questions?" You shook your head. ' Yes, like: Do you like me? Can we go as a couple, not friends? What even are we? Can Mikasa come back? I miss my girls talk...'  You stayed silent.

" I'm sure they'll love you."

You finished you luggage for the next day, so you decided to make a quick phone call. You opened your phone and clicked on Mikasa's number. Eren was in the shower, so you finally had time to call her.

" Hey Y/n! How are you?" Mikasa answered.

" I'm good, I guess." You replied.

" Oh shit, what did my brother do?"

You laughed. " Nothing... It's just that... Being alone with him, it's hard. It's hard to not catch more feelings..."

" Sounds like she's falling..." You heard Connie sing in the background. 

" Did they kiss yet?!" Jean added.

" Shut up Baldhead, and you too Horseface." Mikasa snapped. " This is a girls talk, now leave." You heard a door closing. " Sorry Y/n... I thought Eren was smarter than that... Guess he's just BLIND." You giggled.

" It's fine..." You sighed.

" Oh girl! I almost forgot, what the fuck? That photoshoot with Eren is awesome! You look so good, so gorgeous! How?" 

" Thanks, they needed a plan b, the other model had an accident." 

" Well you did amazing, we were all impressed when we say your face and Eren's on the cover of a magazine at the shop." She paused. " I'm so sorry, I need to go... But I'll call you soon!"

" Ok, talk to you later!" 

" Good luck with my family tomorrow." You chuckled as she hung up.

Eren got out of the bathroom, dressed this time. You took out the magazine from your bag and handed it to Eren. 

" Don't we look cute?" You asked as he observed the pictures and articles inside. You stared at him going through the pages. He smiled and looked at you.

" We do." He dropped the magazine on your desk, grabbed two blankets and threw them on the couch. You guys had planned a movie night. You took care of the snacks while he took care of choosing the movie. 

" The Nightmare Before Christmas?" Eren asked. 

" Sure!" You sat down next to him and handed him a bowl of snacks.

" Thank you, Dummy."

You were 40 minutes into the movie, but the only thing you could think about was what Connie had said in the call. Were you really falling for Eren? Spending time alone with him certainly strengthen the bond between you two. But, were you the only one who felt that bond in a more romantic way? Was it only platonic? One sided? Mikasa said that he would've said it at the beginning if he hadn't been interested. But why had nothing happened yet? Was it because he was blind and didn't notice your feelings? Were you wasting your time? Was it really worth waiting? Was just moving on an option? Would you've been able to move on?

" Y/n? Are you ok?" Eren asked you worried as he paused the movie. You snapped back to reality and realized you were crying. ' Shit.' You wiped your tears and got up.

" Yeah, I'm just tired." You picked up your blanket and threw it on your bed. You went in the bathroom and started brushing your teeth. Eren followed you and leaned on the doorframe.

" What's wrong... I noticed you've been a lot in your head lately." You continued brushing your teeth, almost ignoring him. He sighed and did the same. The two of you stood in front of the mirror in silence, the atmosphere was heavy. You spat and rinsed your mouth.

" Goodnight..." You said in a low voice before heading to your bed. You went up and laid on you back. You stared at the ceiling, tears slowly creating in your eyes. ' Fuck...' You turned to your side, unable to hold back your tears anymore.

You heard Eren closing the bathroom light, letting only Mikasa's desk light illuminate the dark room. Then the floor stopped cracking as if Eren was trying to listen. You tried hushing up your cries with your pillow. Suddenly, you felt your bed move. You looked at the ladder's direction to see Eren's head pop up. He sighed as he noticed your red puffy eyes. Without saying a word, he came up in your bed. You sniffled and settled down to make him space. He made you sign to lay on his chest so you did. A small smile appeared on your face, you had calmed down. At the moment, you didn't care how odd the situation was, all you cared about was that you were in his arms.

You peacefully felt asleep.
