Finals

St.Smithen's Science Academy for Boys and Girls

0630 hours

            I woke up with a jolt as my alarm clock went off. I got dressed and went to the Mess, that is what we call the cafeteria, and ate my disgusting breakfast.

"Hey Ben!" An enthusiastic voice called out. It was Mike Brezinski. "Hey Mike." I said much less enthusiasticly, I wasn't a morning person where as Mike was one of the most positive people I have ever met I once heard him refer to a glass of water as "almost 1% full!" He hadn't been as positive lately as the girl he had a huge crush on had betrayed us. Zoey Zibble had been one of my closest friends but on our most recent mission I had found out that she had only been using me to get a position at D.A.D, now we barely ever saw her. I missed having her around and wanted to make amends, but she was so busy I hadn't had the chance. 

     After breakfast  Mike and I went to the lounge to study for finals. He had been a grade behind me until he had proven himself on multiple missions and had been allowed to skip his second year. Now we were both 3rd years. Finals were coming up and if we didn't get over a C we would fail and have to be held back, or worse. 

        "Hello there Ben," said a voice I had been waiting to hear all day. It was Erica Hale, my well, my crush. From the moment I first laid eyes on her I knew I liked her. Now I think it might be more then that. "Hello, Ben? Earth to Ben?" Erica said. Mike was dying laughing, then the floor shook below us. I looked out the window and saw a plume of smoke coming from the dorms, or at least where they used to be!

Sorry it was so short, I will try to make the chapters longer and update as frequently as I can!
