Love at First Site

        The first day of school was like any other day, Terrible. I never liked school, all the popular girls, the geeks, the tests, but something felt different today. When I got up and dressed up for school I felt scared, I didn't know who would be returning for this school year or who left, but I surely hoped that my BFFs would still be there.

        When I arrived at school every thing felt different, the school was freshly painted, my homeroom teacher was somebody I never met, and the principal was just weird. My sister Karma (yeah I know, what kind of a name is that?) was looking around for her friends. As soon as she saw her friend Kathy she turned to me and said, "Look, I want this year to be a good year for me....so Beat it! and Dont talk to me unless I talk to you, Got it?" "Yeah....." Then she went running towards Kathy and they hugged each other. Now I was officialy alone, I had to sit on the bench looking around at the new and old people. I saw the popular girls judging other kids, the geeks already wiring computers, the athletic kids playing a mixture of Basketball, Football, And Baseball, then out of the corner of my eye I saw my BFF Alianza. "Marcy! OMG I thought I would never see you again!" She ran up to me and squeezed the heck out of me. "I missed you too Alianza! I missed you so much! I'm so happy you came back this year." "I had to beg my dad to come back, it was all I'll be good, I'll get good grades, I be home by 5...uhhh." "Ali, I want this year to be a good year for me, I want to focus on what's important and after that we can party and have fun!" "Hmmm, you never know....maybe this year we'll both find a boyfriend." " Oh My God! That is so not happening! Everybody in this class is so not cute! *RINGGGGG* come on Ali, get your head out of the clouds and let's go to class."

        When I enter my homeroom I felt like this room would hold so many things and be a part of my life, even tho it look like a history book threw up all over it. "Okay class! my name is Ms. Thompson and I'll be your homeroom teacher and your History and Literature teacher. You guys might not like me or you might love me but I dont care I will to anything to make you memorize that history and literature book page by page! Now 7th grade students go to the right side of the room 8th grade students go to the left side of the room." Me and Ali stood next to each other on the right side, waiting and looking around at the new and old students, I saw Ali looking at her crush from last year....Josh. I saw Karma talking with her BFFs and then I looked at the other side of the room and I almost fainted! I saw a boy, he was like 5"3', he had hazel eyes, his hair has a nice chocolate brown, his smile was to die for, and he just stood there...looking down at the floor while his friends where talking and he looked up and stared right into my soul and smiled at me. I felt like I was blushing so hard, it felt amazing.....then out of the blue Ms. Thompson said, "You!" Then everybody was looking at me, I didn't know I was just looking at this boy, I had to clue what his name was or if he liked me but I was just looking at his beautiful eyes...then Ali shook me out of my heaven, "Marcy! Snap out of it! Marcy!" "What?..." I said shockingly. Then I realized everybody was laughing and giggling at me, even the boy, "I see your name is Marcy...well Marcy why Dont you go up and introduce your self to the class." Ms. Thompson said with a devious smile. "Ummm....uhhh....okay, my name is Marcela, but my friends call me Marcy I'm a 7th grader, and I'm 12?.." "Are you asking us that or telling us that?" "I'm tell you this" "well maybe stop saying it in that tone! Now I will be picking partners for you guys, it will be a 7th grader with an 8th grader and you will be asking each other question and filling out a paper and turning it in for a GRADE! I will be posting your partners outside of the classroom before recess.*RINGGGGG* now line up for recess!"

        I waited outside homeroom for my teacher to post the names and Ali was waiting for me too, then Ms. Thompson came out side and pinned the paper on the door every body ran to it looking for their name and partner, when everybody left me and Ali looked down the list, "Ewww! I got Diego!! Uhhh!" Ali said, I look at the list and I see my name next to...Mason Quinones? "Who is Mason Quinones?" I ask in a silent but still loud manner. "Me" I hear a voice behind me, I turn around and its the boy I was staring at in Homeroom!! "I guess we're partners." He told me while he smiled at me.
