10 days earlier...
At the barDidi took another sip of beer.
A week had passed and the fraud bomb case trail had gone cold. Their team was under enormous pressure especially Yue as she could not deliver the unsub's profile without much clues.
He was really in a bad mood. They just had another argument this afternoon, while working on another case.
He did what was right, saving that pregnant lady held as hostage but Yue insisted he should have waited for backup.
"Can you stop acting like a hero?!!" She blasted at him, before storming off.
Just when he thought they were getting along, they would find something to disagree with.
But he was really frustrated with himself mainly. No matter how much he tried, he could not get her out of his mind.
Her eyes.
Her hair.
Her smile.
Her fragrance.
Even her scowl. All stuck in his head. Even when he closed his eyes to sleep at night.
"Damn woman."
He took another gulp of beer down.
Do I like her? Why can't I get her out of my head? She even looked beautiful when she is angry with me.
He had not felt this confused for a long time.
"Hello mister, would you buy me a drink?" A lady sat next to him.
He took a glance and shrugged. "You have money, why don't you get it yourself?"
"You seem lonely. You don't mind if I sit here and drink next to you."
"Whatever." He mumbled.
He was deep in thoughts that he did not notice the lady slipping her hand on his arm and leaning over to him. He jumped up when she licked his ear.
"What the fuck are you doing?!!!"
She smiled. "Don't you want some happy time? We can have some happy time." She said, slipping her hand below to his crotch.
He stood up immediately. "Back off lady. Or I will handcuffed you back to the station."
She giggled. "Hmm, detective, what about cuffing me to your bed post?"
"GET LOST!!"
He breathed in relief when she scoffed and left. He tossed some bills on the counter and took the last sip of beer. When he was about to turn away, something caught his eye.
It was her.
Yue was in the bar. A guy was leaning towards her. Her hair was loose.
Gorgeous.
She wore a tight fitting, low cut black blouse. His heart thumped.
She saw him, too. Their gazes met across the room. He nodded.
She smiled and waved at him.
What the—-? Wasn't she angry at me?
Before he could respond, she waved at the waiter and whispered something to his ear.
A glass of beer arrived in front of him.
"I did not order this." He told the waiter.
"I did."
She sat down next to him, with her own drink in hand.
"What for?"
"Can't even accept a drink from a friend?" She smirked. "I don't take things personally. Outside of office, you're a friend."
