ARIYA WAS A VERY EXPENSIVE WOMAN. Jin would know, he just spent a small fortune on her as their dress and suit shopping quickly dwindled into him simply buying her shoes and jewelry. At some point he had to drag her away from the stores, fighting tooth and nail before she drained his bank account of everything he was worth.

Once at home, he helped her put all her bags inside her room, dropping them on the floor rather carelessly, earning a smack on the back of the head from Ariya. "Those are fucking expensive! Be careful!" She scolded him while he rubbed the back of his head. "I didn't have to fucking hit me. Come on, we have to make dinner."

They seemed to work more fluidly around each other, when Jin would go left, she would go right and vice versa. They didn't really get in each others way all that much and Ariya had actually grown a lot in her cooking skills, by watching Jin and developing some of his habits.

Ariya found it boring having to cook in silence all the time. He never put on music? That's sad. Her mom always put on music when she used to cook, she and Ariya would dance around the kitchen which would inevitably cause the food to burn, but that was beside the point.

Ariya wiped her hands off on her apron and walked away from the chopping board where she was cutting vegetables for the kkanpunggi they were making.

Jin turned at the stove to look at her. "Where are you going?" He called to her with furrowed brows as he watched her pull out her phone. "I need those vegetables, gongju."

"I know, but it's so boring and quiet so I'm gonna put on music," Ariya explained, opening her Spotify to find a song to play to fill the silent kitchen.

Jin huffed impatiently. "I don't work well with music on, it distracts me." He spoke in a rather flat tone, but of course, Ariya didn't listen to him. When does she ever?

She eventually turned on Streets by Doja Cat, one of her favorite songs, and turned her phone all the way up before setting it down on the kitchen island. "You'll be fine." She gave him a gentle pat on the cheek before going to her task at hand.

Ariya sang along to the slow song, swaying her hips a little as she chopped up the vegetables and set them to the side for him to use in the dish.

Jin, just as he said, was distracted. Not by the music, but by Ariya herself. It felt like their teasing game was still going on, like she was tempting him, pulling him along on a leash, just waiting to see when

Jin tried his hardest to concentrate on his cooking, moving from pan to wok to pan as he tried to make sure nothing was over or undercooked. But every few seconds, he'd find himself staring at her mindlessly, not even able to remember when he stopped focusing on the food.

God, forgot this, he's already found his dinner for tonight.

Jin turned off all the burners of the stove and marched over to Ariya.
