What Lurks in the Dark (Hisollumi)

(Hello Everyone! This is my first time writting a ship fanfic, but I hope you enjoy...and no hate please T^T)

It was a cold stormy night in the forest, where the wind blew hard enough to make the trees dance. The young assassin, named Illumi, had just finished his mission and was returning home to the Zoldyck estate. Deep down, he couldn’t help but feel like something was off. Ever since he brutally murdered his target, he felt as if someone was watching him, and someone was. He couldn’t shake the feeling, but he just sighed and kept strolling down the dirt path within the forest. As the young man started getting closer, he slowly came to a halt and stopped in his tracks. If someone was following him, he didn’t want them to know where he lived. Illumi looked back and scanned the area, looking from left to right. He couldn’t see much due to the night sky making his surroundings pitch black. Illumi pulled out a couple of pins and held them in between each finger.

“Reveal yourself. You’ve been following me since my victim’s death.” Illumi’s voice was cold and empty. It was enough to scare the wind away, making the forest dead-silent. There wasn’t a response, nor did the person following them reveal themselves. Illumi let out a soft sigh in a frustrated tone as he saw the person’s shadowy figure. He pulled his arm back and threw the pins at the dark figure. The dark figure dodged the attack and started getting closer. Usually, dodging Illumi’s attacks was a difficult task. Startled by the figure dodging, Illumi jumped back to create distance between the two. All of a sudden, the figure let out a soft hum as he walked out of his hiding place and into the moonlight, revealing his reddish-pink hair.
