Rose's POV
I woke up in pain, feeling my raw skin from the previous night, or at least I think it was the night before. After blacking out I was unable to remember anything; it had felt like I had simply fallen in a deep sleep. I looked around me, the room smelled citrusy as if someone had recently squeezed a lemon. The room looked expensively decorated as if it were owned by a wealthy person with orange and white accents. I realized I was being tied with a rope around a comfy chair. Soon after, a woman with black hair, olive skin, a black dress with red accents, heels, and fairly styled hair walked in. Her makeup matched her outfit, but looked carefully and thoughtfully applied. She also looked fairly young, maybe mid twenties or thirties. As she smiled, her perfect teeth shined as if never to have had a single cavity. It made my stomach turn how perfect she looked to have been a kidnapper. "Who are you?" I finally spat out. "My name is Esperalda, no need to tell me yours, Rose." her voice sounded as if she was trying to stay calm but radiated with dangerous intentions. "Why am I here?" I had been burning to ask this since I had woken up."You're here because I need you." She took a seat on the couch next to my chair and examined her nails, waiting for another question. "Why do you need me?" The expression she had, made the question I asked seem obvious. "Do you really not remember anything?" she shifted a little making herself more comfortable. I was thinking hard about what had happened the night before, but I went blank, all I could remember was darkness. "I can't remember anything but-" she stopped me mid sentence, "Darkness perhaps?" I was extremely confused as to how she knew my answer but at this point I'll believe anything. For a second I just sat there as Esperalda arose from her seat. I didn't realize how tall she was until she stood up just now. She seemed to be speaking to herself in a foreign language until she looked down at me. "Alright child, if I untie you, you have to promise not to move. Try to escape and you will instantly regret it." I nodded slightly and she untied me. "Now if you follow me this all might make a bit more sense." She led me down a staircase that opened up to a large living room that was decorated to match the room before, but slightly different. There were several men dressed in classic suits, all standing in different spots around the room. In an instant, the memories had played back and I now remembered what had happened the night I went blank.
