IF CELESTE

had to describe her life, she would use the word mess. Mess seemed to be a perfect word for her life. Everything in her life has been a mess from the kidnapping to this very moment. This very moment when the Wizarding War had ended in the death of Voldemort, who was the soul reason why Celeste was taken from her biological family at the age of four.

Now she was staring at her parents, not being able to move. In all honesty, she had truly believed that she would never see them again. Either she would had died or they, but this wasn't the case. They were very much alive, tired and gloomy looking but alive no less. Her breath caught in her throat when she saw her brother walking next to their parents.

They were all there. She took a deep breath in and breathed out, and for the first time since forever, she felt like she was actually breathing. For the first time it felt like the world won't end and she will be able to join her family for real this time.

Celeste knew her parents were rather stern when it came to being out in public. She knew how important it was for witches and wizards in their status to appear untouchable but clearly after screaming for their children during the battle, Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy didn't care anymore.

The young Malfoy girl watched as her mother dropped on her knees, her face covered by her palms. There was a loud sob coming from her and Lucius kneeled next to her, whispering comforting words.

Giving a teary smile, Celeste stepped forward and leaped down on the floor next to her parents. She carefully took her mother's hands and made her look into her golden eyes. Neither of them said a word, they just stared at each other for sometime. Now, there was no one to interrupt this.

Lucius gently reached for his daughter and gently stroked her hair.

"Thank Merlin you're all right," he sighed, words almost getting stuck in his throat and with that, Narcissa wrapped her arms around her daughter tighter than she ever has.

Narcissa tried to suppress her sobs. She just closed her eyes and held her daughter, fearing that soon she'll wake up and Celeste wasn't there. That everything was a dream and that she would wake up in her bed, Celeste's soft teddy bear in her arms just like when the girl was taken.

"Mummy, don't cry," Celeste managed to say and kissed her mother's cheek.

She loosened her arms around her mother's torso and gently pulled away. She managed to pull herself away just so that she could see Narcissa's brown eyes which were like a pool of tears.
