I couldn't get myself to sleep! I had been tossing and turning on the bed since an hour. Do you know why? Because of whatever the hell happened today! I went on a date with Davis Courdon. My Davey Baby! Although the real problem is that he thinks that I like somebody else so now I have absolutely no chance of making him fall for me. Not that I had a chance even before this 'encounter' of ours today but still! The more I think about it the more I realize that I'm in deep shit right now. I couldn't help but replay the events of the day in my mind again and again until I fell asleep.
Three hours ago:
The wine bottle laid there on the ground, or precisely the bits and pieces of the bottle. The red wine perfectly staining the floor and I guess my cheeks were redder than the red-stained floor. Why do I have to be so clumsy?
Davis and I looked around us and found almost everyone in the cafe staring at the both of us.
"Umm.. I'm sorry, I guess..." My words left a contagious smile on Davis' face and a smile crept onto my face as well. The next moment we were both laughing like mad people. "You are something different!" I couldn't stop laughing at his strange comment. "Whatever the hell do you even mean by that?"
"I think we should leave." was his only response.
"Whattttt??" Was he so embarrassed of me that he wanted to leave so soon?
"We should go somewhere else. You know just walk around or something. I can't stay here anymore. Everyone is staring at my beautiful date." He winked at me.
Holy Fucking Chocolate Muffins!!
Was Davis flirting with me? Of course he was!
"Okay....Yeah cool. Let's go." I couldn't think straight.
The rest of the date we kept walking and talking about ourselves and I was so happy that I could explode, literally.
"Okay nerdy, so tell me something about you. Your interests and hobbies and THE most important thing, why the hell did you need to rent a boy for a date? When we thought of starting this service in town, we were expecting girls like Emma and Ava to be our prospective customers but not you."
His question left me speechless. I couldn't tell him that I wanted to learn how to make a boy like me and I obviously couldn't tell him that the boy I was trying to court was him!
"Okay first answer first." I tried to speak on a lighter note. "My name is Aries. For starters you should know that." I looked at him and smiled. "My best friend is Erina, actually my only friend to be exact. My mum works at a store nearby as a cashier and my father is a Finance Manager at a company in Seattle so it's only mum and me for now. Dad visits us now and then but I still miss him a lot. I like reading books and dancing and listening to songs and my hobbies change every single day. So, yeah that's me!"
"As for your last question, I don't have any experience in dating and stuff but there's this guy and I Iike him very much and he doesn't pays attention to me at all. Like at all! So, I just want some exposure you know, before I actually go to him and confess my trie feelings. As you know...."
"Okay! Okay! This is enough for today." He interrupted me and spoke. I felt embarrassed. Obviously, why do I need to give him so many details? He'll surely not believe me now.
"So, should I walk you back to your home? I think it's getting late." He said.
"Yeah, let's go. It really is getting pretty late." Then there was just a comfortable silence between us both while we walked under the starry sky. Just him and I! My Davy Baby and I! This was probably the best day of my life!
