Leechpaw awakened from her slumbers, a faint ring pulsed in her ear as she stumbled out of the apprentice den, slowly but surely she padded over to the fresh-kill pile to grab a mouse to eat. But before she could do so, Rumblepaw, an apprentice about the same age as Leech squeezed in next to her, Rumblepaw's eyes shined like stars in the night sky as he mewed,

"Shouldn't we hunt first?" Leechpaw backed up,

"O-oh, yeah..." Leechpaw meowed looking at the ground, needing her paws into the soil,

"I was just checking to make sure it hadn't become crowfood yet." Rumbles mellow and gentle movements made his words sound wise, even though he knew just as much as any other apprentice,

"Well, I'd hope it's not crow food yet! Considering that most of the food in here's brand new." He mewed carefully. Leech smiled,

"Could we hunt together?" Leech beamed. Rumblepaw nodded back to her,

"Of cours-" Rumblepaw's reply was suddenly interrupted by the sound of a yowl from the Feather Stone, the two apprentices looked at one another confused by the sound, before dashing off to investigate. Leechpaw knew of Bunnystar's plan to launch an attack on Stoneclan; she had watched the warriors leave for the revolt against their treachery at dawn so it couldn't be an attack from Stoneclan if WingClan was already battling them as she and Rumblepaw spoke, keeping the heartless warriors busy. But alias standing before Leechleap on the Feather Stone stood the opposing clan's fearless leader, Badgerstar. Badgerstar stood on top of a beautiful she-cat, the young queen Daisypelt, Bunnystar's mate. How dare he, how could a cat be so horrible? Leechpaw thought to herself, her face frozen in terror as the large tom approached her, his long tan fur blowing in the wind, Leechpaw took another glance at Daisypelt, her body was still, and her neck was bleeding out. She was dead, Badgerstar has killed her, and for what? She snarled at the large leader, taking out her claws. Badgerstar slowly curved his head forward,

"Oh lookie here, a little apprentice thinks she can take me out...leave the fighting to the warriors you little mouse-brain, though it seems there's none around..maybe they're all attacking our camp right now? Oh, too bad...they'll miss all the fun here." At first, Leechpaw didn't understand what the intruder meant before it finally hit her.

"Y-you...planned this out?" Leechaw managed to squeak out, scared for her life. Badgerstar grinned and tore open Daisyelt's fragile upper belly in front of Leechpaw's fear-filled eyes. Rumblepaw had already sprinted off to alert the other apprentices and a couple of warriors who were too ill or injured to go on the raid, considering how Leafbare was upon them the number of sick warriors were more than plenty. But before the other loyal Wingclan cats could make it to the Feather Stone Badgerstar was gone, casting Daisypelt's limp body aside.

"D-... Daisypelt..." Leechpaw mumbled sadly, a soft murmur of shock then let out amongst the crowd of cats surrounding the body. "What's going on?!" Bunnystar and the other warriors emerged from the crowd. Leechpaw sighed, then muttered, her face flushed with tears

"Daisypelt's dead."
