"Wolvendom! One of the bestest places in Mondstat!"

Chongyun could not help but notice how lively Benny was, which was a good thing, in his own, humble opinion. Benny's liveliness and overall positivity was a bit different from Xingqiu's which seems to always be borderline menacing.

He shook his head subconsciously to get rid of these thoughts. He actually felt guilty thinking about forming the Victims of Xingqiu's Alliance. While it can't be denied that his best friend harbors a somewhat sadistic side to him, Chongyun always knew this stemmed from Xingqiu's boredom and repressed feelings of adventure.

While it was true that he had gone through hardship after hardship because of Xingqiu's pranks, there's no denying the fact that Xingqiu does so much more for him. Chongyun found himself reminiscing on the day his money got swindled after trying to get more info and tips about a certain evil spirit that needed exorcising.

Apparently, Xingqiu made it all up and Chongyun had spent all his money for naught! He felt resentment towards Xingqiu for making him look like a fool, but the other boy took him on an even better adventure of tracking down the con-man to Quince Village, beating him and his band of treasure hoarders, and getting Chongyun's money back.

And the best part – after all the adventure, Xingqiu treated Chongyun to several scoops of uniquely flavored ice cream and they were so good Chongyun felt his mouth salivating just by thinking about it! Pyro-slime ice cream, Cryo-slime ice cream, and that minty Dendro-slime ice cream!

"You're thinking about food, aren't you?" Benny said, pausing just in front of a broken wagon partly buried in the soft and wet earth. "You have the exact same look of Razor whenever he thinks about meat!"

"Is that the guy we're meeting? Razor?" Xingqiu asked, his expression blank and disinterested.

"Uh huh! I can't wait for you to meet him." Bennet exclaimed, sounding more excited than ever. "He's just beyond those hills."

Xingqiu shrugged and continued walking towards the direction Bennet pointed at. Bennet grinned at Chongyun which he returned enthusiastically to try to reassure the other boy that he and Xingqiu were equally excited to do the expedition at Dragonspine.

"Say..." Chongyun began. "Are you always being attacked by pigeons?"

Chongyun though it would be good for their teamwork to build rapport with Bennet, but it looked like his line of questioning made the other boy extremely uncomfortable.

"Always?" Bennet laughed nervously. "Of course not. That was the first time, as far as I recall..."

Xinqiu turned towards them and chimed in, "What's with all your other scars, though?"

Chongyun noticed Bennet turning redder by the second.

"Oh this," Bennet said, pointing at a nasty-looking scar on his shoulder. "Ha ha ha, this is nothing. I don't even remember. Oh look, we're almost there!"

Chongyun's gaze followed Bennet and his scar-ridden body towards a circular clearing adorned with gray walls with weirdly specific carvings. Chongyun squinted against the bright light of the sun in an effort to make out what the carvings were forming. They looked like...

"Wolves," Xingqiu said. "I can feel the presence of wolves. It's a trap!"

"No," Bennet quickly countered. "We're in Wolvendom. This is where Razor lives. Hold up, let me get him for you."
