10. Mean friends and Forbidden Forests

"Come on Draco you know this!" Sam said looking at a hesitating Draco, trying to answer a question that will be on the exams. "I-I Idont know if its right!" Draco said back panicked. "You do know. We've been doing this for so long! Come on Draco you've probably gone over a whole bunch of things it could possibly be!" Sam said finishing the book he was reading, 'The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 4 by Miranda Goshawk.' He found it in the library for kids who forgot or didn't have enough for the books.

Draco wrote down the answer and Sam looked at it "Thats right." Sam said and Draco sighed. "I hate these questions." Draco mumbled. "But your so smart you don't need to worry. you'll pass it no problem." Sam said with a smile. Neville caught Sam's attention when he sees him walking with his legs stuck together. Sam gets angry and hits Draco in the back of the head. "I told you to stop messing with Neville!" Sam says angrily and Draco looks back at his paper. "He annoyed me!" Draco said to him

"that doesn't mean that you should do that! Thats embarrassing!" Sam said and went over to Neville. "You have got to stand up for yourself Neville." Ron said. "Guys its not his fault, Neville is too nice to do anything." Sam said and he put Neville sit on the stool, rubbing his hair. Seamus stood up, wand ready. "Ill do the counter curse!" Seamus said excited. Neville moves a little away from him. "No, that's all I need... you to set my bloody kneecaps on fire!" Neville said. Seamus and Sam got mad. "I don't appreciate the insinuation, Longbottom. Besides, if anyone cares to notice, my eyebrows have completely grown back!" Seamus said stalking away revealing a large chunk of his hair gone.

Sam just smiled then looked back over at Neville. "That wasn't funny Neville. He doesn't make fun of you. And he is trying his best to be better at the spells. I don't appreciate you making fun of my friends." Sam said before saying the counter curse and letting Nevilles legs free. "I'm going back to Draco." Sam said obviously pissed off now.

"Great going Neville." Ron said patting him on the back. "Sam! We need you over here. Sorry!" Harry said bring Sam back. He groaned. "Siblings."  Sam said and Draco just nodded. "Ill see you later.  You can help me with my potions. For snapes favourite I really suck at potions." Draco said with a sigh. Sam laughed. "You wish you were snapes favourite. there is another." Sam said and pointed to himself and ran off.

In the library, Harry and Ron are seated, reading until Hermione comes up with a huge book and thumps it onto the table making Harry jump. "I had you guys looking in the wrong section! How could I be so stupid? I checked this out a few weeks ago for a bit of light reading." Sam just smirked while Harry and Rons eyes widened. "This is light?"

"Of course! Here it is! 'Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone!'" Hermione said amazed. "The what?" Sam sighed. "Honestly, don't you two read? "The Philosopher's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It will turn any metal into pure gold and produces the Elixir of Life, which will make the drinker immortal." Sam said memorizing it the other day.

"Immortal?" Ron said "it means you never die." Hermione said "I know what it means!" Ron shouted back. "Sh!" Harry and Sam said looking around them. ""The only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel, the noted alchemist, who last year celebrated his 665th birthday!" Sam said looking at the page said. "That's what Fluffy's guarding on the 3rd floor. That's what's under the trapdoor...the Philosopher's Stone!" Hermione finished for Sam also reading the book.

They all look at each other in concern. It is nighttime in the castle grounds, Hermione, Sam, Ron and Harry are running across to Hagrid's hut. They knock on the door and Hagrid, who is wearing an apron and oven mitts, opens it from the inside "Hello Hagrid!" sam said and Hagrid grinned at him before looking at everyone else. "Oh, hello. Sorry, don't wish to be rude, but I'm in no fit state to entertain today." Hagrid said and waved at Sam before closing the door.
