Twin Wannabes

George had just returned home from taking Sam and Lizzy to spend the night at his parents. He walked in the house and paused just a moment to admire the view from the bank of windows that lined the back of his house. One of the main reasons he’d chosen this house was the spectacular view of the vast, rolling lawn that ended at a little creek that bordered his property.

He found Robin, open book in hand, and the sound of her soft, steady breaths as she napped contentedly on the sofa.

George quietly leaned over and kissed her on the forehead. “Robin,” he whispered, followed by more kisses running down the side of her face, waking her gently. “I’m going to shag you.” he told her. “Right here, right now. And if you don’t want me to shag you, you have until I get my clothes off to find yourself a hiding place.”  Then he kissed her, hard on the mouth.

Robin looked up and saw the twinkle in his eyes. When he stood up and started undressing, she made a mad dash to the kitchen. She paused only long enough to grab a bottle of wine from the fridge and a blanket they kept in the pantry for picnics. Then out the back door she ran, headed towards the creek.

“Where are you going?” she heard George shout from behind her.

Robin turned to see a naked George standing at the back door. “If you can catch me, you can have me.” She roared to him.

He took to the challenge cheerfully and dashed after her. Robin screamed and started running again.

Fred and Ani had just gotten out of their car in George and Robin’s driveway when they heard her screaming in the backyard. They rushed around the house just in time to see a bare-bottomed George chasing after Robin. They stood there watching the scene a few minutes when Fred noticed a pair a binoculars sitting on the picnic table. He giggled as he watched his brother take Robin into his arms and lower her on to the blanket she’d spread on the ground.

“Give me those!” Ani insisted, and grabbed the binoculars from Fred.

There was something quite stirring, watching the couple making love. She lowered the binoculars and looked up at Fred. She saw the same desire in his eyes that she felt in her own.  Fred took her into his arms. He kissed her deeply.

When Fred came up for air, he looked around the deck. He finally pulled a cushion from one of the deck chairs and lowered Ani to the ground. He made love to her there while only a few yards away, George was making love to Robin.

“What are you two doing here?” Robin asked Fred and Ani, as she and George walked back up to the house,  He had the blanket wrapped around his waist and his arms wrapped around Robin.

“We came for lunch.” Ani said as she quickly smoothed out her skirt.

Robin looked from one brother to the next. Ani and Fred hadn’t been together as long as Robin and George. She’d known the twins long enough to be able to read the look they shared.

“It’s not going to work.” Robin said as she walked into the house.

“What’s not going to work?” Ani asked, looking confused at Fred.

“Why not?” both brothers asked in unison.

“Women’s bodies are different. We may not both be fertile right now; and even if you did manage to get us both pregnant on the same day, that doesn’t mean we’ll both deliver on the same day, you idiots.” Robin said, laughing.

“But we can try, right?” asked George.

“Yes, we can try.” Robin answered, a mischief smile on her lips. “Come on Ani, let’s go get cleaned up.”

I know what you're thinking, that's more than any 13 year old should know about how they were conceived, but that story has been shared all my life.  That's my story.  I'm Abigail Weasley, but everyone calls me Axe.

Why Axe?  Because I said so, that's why.  Do I look like an Abigail to you?  This fiery, ginger hair and these wild curls are all natural; and mum said they fit my personality.

Albus, he's my Aunt Ginny and Uncle Harry's son, he called me Abigail once and I punched him right in the nose.

"You got your trunk packed, Axe?"

"Just about dad.  Maybe you'd better check on Alex, he's the first year."

That's my dad, George Weasley.  He's the best!  And co-proprietor or Weasley Wizard Wheezes.  I'm going to be co-proprietor of it one day.  Me and my cousin Rox.

Rox is the daughter of my dad's twin brother Fred and his wife Ani.  We're the same age, but mum was right, the odds of us being born on the same day was next to impossible.  Heck, we weren't even born in the same year.  I was born at the end of December and Rox was born at the beginning of January.  No matter, we're still best friends.

Rox and Albus and I, and our cousin Rose, are all third years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  There are four houses - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.  Albus is a Gryffindor, but I would have bet money he'd have been a Puff-head. Rose is a Gryffindor too.

Rox and I are in Slytherin House.  That's right!  We're the first Weasley's to get into Slytherin.  What's even more surprising, I'm a half-blood.  Dad's a wizard, but mum's a muggle.  But I'm not the first half-blood in Slytherin.  After the second wizard war, more half-bloods were sorted into Slytherin house.

Sam, my older brother, and cousin Victorie, they're both 7th years and Gryffindor's, of course.  As is cousin James.  My older sister, Lizzy, she's a Hufflepuff.  She HATES being a Puff, but I LOVE being a Slytherin.

My younger brother, Alex, he'll get sorted when we get to school tomorrow night.  He could get Gryffindor too, but mum's hoping he gets Ravenclaw.  Then she'll have a full set, she says.

School is a breeze.  A History of Magic is a bit boring, but it won't be once we start discussing the Second Wizard War.  A lot of our parents actually fought in that war and we've grown up with those stories.

Potions class is a piece of cake.  Rox and I have been helping the dads mix potions, and ingreidents for items at the joke shop, for as long as we can remember.  Charms class is alright.  We're in it with the Gryffindors so it's fun to get together in either the Slytherin common room or the Gryffindor common room to study with our cousins.

I have to admit, the Weasley's RULE THE SCHOOL!  The nice thing about going to school with so many family members is, if you get a little homesick, there's always a sibling or a cousin close by.  Like today, I'd never admit it to anyone, but I'm really missing mum today.  I'm sure glad Christmas break is almost here.

"Hey Rox, there's Lizzy, let's have lunch with her today."

"Hi Lizzy, can we sit with you?" I asked.

"No! and don't call me Lizzy, it's Eliza."

"We call you Lizzy all the time at home."

"Well, we're not home!.  Now go away."

"So what are you fighting with mum about today?"  I ask.

"None of your business."  Lizzy said as she stormed off.
