Chapter 2

~Flashback~
A seven year old Brom was currently running away from a group of four bullies. He then went into an alley and went in a dead end "oh no" Brom said "ah looks like the mouse became lost" said bully #1 "let's get him guys" said bully #2 as the four began to surround Brom. Then they began beating him up as Brom then grew more and more angry "leave...me... ALONE!!!" Brom said as his powers reacted. It created a large explosion of fire which destroyed the entire village and his parents along with it. When Brom looked around all he saw was ash and no one insight "what have I done" Brom said as he began to cry and fell on his knees.
~End of Flashback~

After relieving what had happened to him in the past Brom wakes up suddenly completely drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. The whole experience had woken up Rio since she put a hand on his shoulder "Brom what is the matter?" Rio said "sorry Rio I just relived what had happened in my past" Brom said as he stood up and walked out to the balcony. After walking out onto the balcony Brom took a deep breath before looking up at the night sky his mind was swimming with guilt. When he thought back to what had happened to his home and family he thought to himself 'what am I gonna do to make up for what I have done' thought Brom as he felt a hand touch his own. Brom looked to his left and saw Rio standing next to him giving him a sincere look.

The two then looked into their eyes as they leaned in and finally kissed each other. Brom wrapped his arms around Rio's hips pulling her closer to him, Rio wrapped her arms around Brom's neck as they deepened the kiss. The two finally separated from each other in order to breathe "wow" Rio said "I know but believe it or not that is my first kiss" Brom said as he rubbed the back of his head. Rio looked at Brom while her cheeks flushed with a slight pink color as Rio laid her head on Brom's chest. Then the two returned to their bed as a newly formed couple.

~time skip to morning~

Brom was finally able to let someone get close to him even after he told Rio about his past she still accepted him. Rio and Brom had gotten their clothes on and went to go and have breakfast but there was one person in the palace Brom and Rio were afraid of telling and that was Reginald. Brom was more nervous than Rio in regards to trying to tell Reginald that him and Rio are together. As Brom, Rio and Reginald were having breakfast Rio spoke up "Reginald there is something me and Brom should tell you" Rio said "what is it sis" Reginald said "allow me Rio, Reginald your sister and I have recently began a new relationship" said Brom as he and Rio waited for Reginald's response. Reginald noticed that Brom was clearly nervous about telling him but Reginald just smiled at them both "I'm glad that Rio has finally found someone to love her and I'm expecting you to keep her safe Brom" said Reginald. Brom smiled "don't worry Reginald you have my word" Brom said as he took Rio's hand.

Just then an explosion was heard at the wall as a guard came bursting in "your majesty it's a large group of demons they are attacking the kingdom" said the guard as Reginald and Brom stood up. Reginald pointed his arm out "captain prepare for battle, Rio you go with the villagers to the large church area the devils won't follow you there Brom you go to" Reginald said as the captain left. But Brom didn't leave "Reginald I'm staying here for once I have something to fight for beside myself" Brom said as Rio grabbed him "you can't what if you die" Rio said with tears in her eyes. Brom wiped her tears "I promise I'll be back" Brom said as he and Reginald got ready for battle.

There was an army full of demons and many were afraid but but didn't back down. The gates opened as Reginald, Brom and all the soldiers ran towards the Demons to do battle. Once the two forces collide one by one soldiers and Demons alike began falling. Reginald and Brom had each other's back as Brom began killing demons along with Reginald. Then the leader of the Demons was in sight as he swatted many of Kyoto's forces away from him "YOU" said the Demon in a very deep voice.

The Demon ran at Reginald and Brom as the two ran at the Demon as well. The Demon swung his huge sword at Reginald and Brom as the two avoided the attack and sliced the demons chest. But the Demon regenerated "oh no Reginald we are screwed" Brom said as Reginald commanded his forces to retreat to the village. The demons followed suit as Brom's arm began lightning on fire then Brom had an idea "Reginald get to the church I can finish that bastard" Brom said "are you kidding that's suicide" Reginald said but Brom didn't care as he went to the top of the wall.

Reginald trusted him as he commanded his forces to the church "see ya guys" Brom said as he fell off the wall and allowed his fire power to be let loose as one by one the Demons were set on fire and disintegrated into ash along with Shark and Rio's kingdom. The explosion of fire can be seen from afar as the citizens of Kyoto came back. Reginald and Rio began looking for Brom only to see him unconscious. Rio and Reginald ran to him "Brom, Brom come on don't leave me" Rio said as she began crying Reginald checked for a pulse or any chance of Brom breathing but no luck. Rio and Reginald stood up as they began walking away "oh man was that a big one" said a voice as Rio and Reginald looked to see Brom awake as the two ran to him.
