[Lia]

"Okay, class," Mrs. Johnson started as she walked in and went toward her desk, "Tomorrow four new students will be joining us. Two boys and two girls."

She began to go on about how we're going to treat them the way we would want to be treated. I zoned out a little bit because I didn't really care for new students. But then, she said she needed two students to show them around the school.

"Lia and...", she looked around the room until her eyes landed on...,"Jasper. You two will show the new students around the school tomorrow morning."

I mentally rolled my eyes, I hate when teachers volunteer students for stuff they didn't ask to do. And clearly, I didn't raise my hand.

Out of all students, she also had to pick Jasper.

Jasper is your average high school asshole. He's rude, makes ignorant "jokes", he just lacks moral decency.

I was too annoyed that I didn't even notice the crumpled paper ball on my desk. I look up to see who threw it, and what do you know? It was from Jasper, he mouthed 'read it' from across the room.

Willow, one of my best friends, snatched the ball from my hands, she opened it, scanned it, wrote something, and threw it back to Jasper. After he read whatever she wrote, he glared at her, she gave him the finger in return with a smug smile.

"What did it say?" I whispered.

"He wrote, 'Don't be flirting with any of the boys tomorrow,'" She whispered back.

"And what did you write?"

"'Kiss my ass.'" I rolled my eyes and smiled at her immaturity.

School went by in a blur, thank god, and Willow drove me home as usual.

"I'm home!" I yell and drop my backpack on the floor by the front door.

"We're in here, Lia," I hear my older sister, Violet, yell from the kitchen.

I walk into the kitchen to see Violet feeding my twin niece and nephew, Ava and Oliver.

"Hey, Vi."

"Hey, Lia."

"Hi, Ollie," I beam and kiss the toddler's forehead. Then I go to Ava, "Hey, Miss Ava," I also kiss her forehead.

"I'm so happy I have two sisters, 'cause I have two babysitters when I need them," Violet's sighs while putting juice in the blue and pink baby bottles.

"Yeah, cause that's what Roxanne and I were born for; babysitting your kids." Sarcasm was evident in my tone, I sat down at the counter.

"Well, I was basically a third parent to you and Roxanne, the least you two can do is babysit my twins."

I rolled my eyes at her words, not because I hate babysitting, I absolutely adore Ava and Oliver. But it was because Violet felt the need to be mom and dad 2.0 to Roxanne and I, growing up. She just has that bossy, leader, HBIC personality. I wonder if all older siblings are like that.

"Speaking of Roxanne, where is she?"

"Working right now," I nod as a response.

"So, mom got into an argument with Jackie Anderson today at the boutique," she notifies me.

"Who?" I don't even know who that is.

"Jackie Anderson," she repeats. "Her father is like this really rich man."

"Ohhh," I nod slowly.

"Anyway, she wanted to buy this red chiffon dress, and when Mom told her that they didn't have it in her size, she started making these little slick ass comments under her breath about running a store," she continued. "And Mom being Mom, she retaliated and told her that she could go to another store. Then Jackie said something like, 'You people are hostile.'"

"Definitely racist," I commented.

"I know right," she huffed. "I have to tell Roxanne about this," she walked out of the kitchen.
