"Looks like I got you shal." You said to him.

You and Shalnark were long time friends and have known each other for many years. Once he joined the phantom troupe you both started to drift apart due to your difference in profession. Which is definitely understandable with you being a beast hunter and him being a spider and thief. But you still kept in contact and saw each other once in a while. You always had feelings for him and he did for you as well but never admitted it to each other. Tonight is the night.

"Ok Y/N! Let's get this show on the road." He responded in his normal enthusiastic way.

You both started to walk toward the closet. And then Nobunaga shut the door behind you. Once you were inside the closet you both sat down on the floor, Shalnark was sitting directly across from you in awkward silence. But then he spoke.

"You know, I've really missed you. And I miss all the fun we used to have together." He read your mind.

"Really? I've missed you so much shal." You said back to him. You could see the smile growing on Shalnark's face and it made your cheeks blush a little.

"I've always had this feeling that you liked me, but now my suspicions have been confirmed." Said shalnark.

"Was I making it obvious?" You asked. He slightly embarrassed you.

"Ahahahaha, no I just felt it in my gut that you liked me back. Ya know... I've always sorta... been in love with you Y/N. Ive just been to nervous to tell you." Said Shalnark. You could tell it took him a lot of strength to tell you this.

You sighed in relief and you planted a soft, romantic kiss on his lips. Shalnark pulled back in shock and then he went back in for a kiss. He cupped your cheeks gently and started to kiss you a little harder. His hands were soft on your skin, and they were warm, comforting. Your arms were wrapped around his neck, and you started to twirl his hair around your index finger. He smelled of fresh linen and a light cologne, it was intoxicating. He started to move the kissing down to your neck keeping the same pressure as he did for your lips. You tilted your head back a little bit. And Shalnark started to move back up toward your face.

"Hey you have a minute left in there." Said nobunaga.

That minute went by so fast. You were now kissing on the lips softly and then you slowly let go, at the same time. You both now rested your foreheads together. That was the most magical kiss you had ever experienced. He kissed your forehead and pushed your hair behind your ear.

And then nobunaga opened the door.

"Hey your time is up." Said Nobunaga.

Shalnark stood up and offered you a hand. You stood up and both of you walked back to the couch. He also had interlocked his fingers with yours. This made you smile.

"That was really awesome Y/N. And I was thinking, that maybe you and I could go on a real date sometime?" Asked Shalnark.

"Yes! I would love to!" You said in an enthusiastic tone.

Shalnark's face lit up and he hugged you tight. Then you both cuddled on the couch. His arm around your shoulders and you pressed yourself against his side. He was so warm, and he made you feel safe.
