CH 05: other.. people? pt.2

heyyy the last chapter felt kinda rushed and its been bothering me so I decided to update as soon as I could!

[your pov]

"I'm saying there's other people, but not all of them are good..." your blood starts to run cold as you do your best to pull your mind away from overthinking or jumping to conclusions.

"You see, I'm one of the celestials who are part of a higher rank called the Council. This is because I've helped countless of humans fulfill their wishes and I'm pretty damn good at it." Charlotte takes off the black silk glove adorned on her right hand.

"When celestials reach my rank they are given more information. Right now the Universe is in quite a rough spot due to the "Rebellion."

All of a sudden she leaves the counter "The rebellion are celestials who are tired of granting humans wishes and decide to use humans to fulfill their own. As a council member it is not only my duty to protect my human but to eliminate those from the rebellion."

Charlotte then walks up to you and gives you a beautiful necklace with a quartz pendant.

"I want you to wear this at all times. This necklace will notify me if there is a celestial rebel near you or a human working with one."

as she helps you put on the necklace  you feel an throbbing pain at the back of your neck

"Wait what are you doing-" she used her right hand and holds the back of the necklace causing it to glow as well as the back of your neck.

"It will also notify you. You will feel this sensation everytime one is near you within a 25 feet radius. This will automatically summon me okay?" You nod in response

"The reason why we council members must eliminate the rebels is because they feed off human desire. Which is why you are extremely valuable. Not all humans can summon a council member like what you did before."

Before you could say anything in response she quickly tells you to go home. "Why?" she starts leading you out of the shop "It's getting late and I must attend a council meeting. Farewell!"

You give her a puzzled look and wave before leaving 'damn I wonder if they're gonna come after me... Nahhh probably not.'

[unkown pov]

I start to breath heavily- watching her from a distance, "she looks incredible as always, we'll be together again my love..."

"Woah I just got shudders what the hell-"
you turn around to make sure no ones following you, you grasp the pendant tightly to calm yourself and start running home.

"Maybe I'm just overthinking." You unlock your front door to see your mom on the couch with a cute little golden retriever puppy.

"OH MY GOSH MOM IS THAT THE PUPPY-"
you quicky take off your shoes and put your backpack down somewhere near by

"YES- FEEL HOW FLUFFY HE IS!" she places the puppy in your arms and you see his little tail wag "Did you think of a name yet?"
