1 day before surgery
The petite boy put his hand underneath his chin watching the rainfall ever so lightly. He took a deep breath in and leaned back, his hands on the floor of the porch.
"Another day where I yet have to endure this life" He chuckles.
As if on cue the rain pours a little harder, this time he stands up. He sighs and runs into the forest ahead. Not minding much of how wet he's getting, he lets the rain wash away his previous thoughts. He spins around and goosebumps make their way up to his arm. With one final spin, he stops and spreads his arms like an eagle, with one last smile he falls on his back landing on the ground, muddy and rain on his face. All while laughing he feels a tinge of salt on his tongue, not realizing he'd been crying.

"I'm sorry" the girl whispered.
"I'm sorry? Is that all you have to say? I can't believe you! How could you keep this from me?!"
"I DIDNT WANT YOU TO WORRY!" she cried out in agony.
"SO YOU WAIT TO TELL ME AFTER THE DOCTER GIVES YOU A DEATH DATE?!" he cries louder.
"I-" she chokes on her sobs, her hand clutching to the end of her skirt. "I didn't want to accept it" she whispers. "I didn't want to accept it at all. I didn't want to accept the fact that I'm gonna leave you, leave my family, leave this world where I made memories." She said through tears.
"Thanya I-"
"Mark listen to me, when I'm gone, I need you to do me a favor" She smiled
Mark nodded encouraging her to go on.
"Do the surgery"
"What?"
"Do the surgery, be well"
"I can't be well when my girlfriend is gone, how about I go with you lets leave together," He says grabbing her hand, a tear finding its place on his right cheek.
She smiled at him, more tears flowing steadily. "Please if you love me, do the surgery and live for me"
"Thanya I cant, I don't know if I can" He cried, pulling her into a hug.
"Yes, you can baby, please do it for me that all I ask," She said rubbing circles onto his back.
"Ok," he whispered.

Mark pulled out his notebook and his pen as he dabbed the towel on his damp hair. He sat down on the chair and turned his desk lamp on, throwing the towel somewhere into his room. He opened the notebook and began writing.

It's like I can almost feel her touch. Hear her laugh. And smell her lavender scent. Tomorrow is the surgery and I will admit it, I don't want to do it but for her, I will. School today was annoying as usual. The teachers nagging on students to do this and do that probably not knowing what most go through. I almost caught a cold today, I laugh as I think about it. The rain was so gentle on my skin, the earth to me is the most precious thing in existence. It still baffles me in ways when I think about the life of a plant or the soil. How big can trees grow to and all the different types of animals. People don't see the world as anything fascinating so they ignore it which angers me. People are a sorry excuse of a life. The time is late I must head to sleep, tomorrows surgery is risky but it really doesn't matter, at this point, I have no will power to live.
Mark looks over at the clock, the time reading 12:03 am. He sighs but nonetheless jumps into his bed and pulls the soft blanket onto him.
