ANANYA (Anu) POV

Let me introduce myself to you all,I'm Ananya pillai and my nick name is Anu, everyone calls me Anu, even my bestie Prathima, I'm from a Kerala Indian Hindu family.

I'm only daughter of my parents Rajan pillai and Parul,I have a small brother Sujith pillai in short jithu.

We are a very happy family, my parents are my best friends,we are from a middle class family,and we live in a rented double bedroom hall kitchen apartment in Hyderabad.

My papa is an AC contractor, and mom a housewife come ladies tailor, because of our education expenses we are not able to buy or constract our own house.

But we are very happy with these peaceful life with eachother, my brother is two years and seven months younger than me.

Still he calls me Anu or Ananya,not as chechi( siss in Malayalam), because he says that he is my elder brother.

Hahahaha....so funny na friends? yes he is really a funny but caring and very loving brother.

I'm his best friend and he is my best friend,we share every secret with each other.

  I'm now a graduation first year student at the age of seventeen,and my bro a tenth grade student.

Now I understood your doubts,at age of fourteen I completed my tenth,and at sixteen years my college studies too, and now first year graduation exams too completed.

Because I was very fast in my studies,hmm.., in short we can say I was a very talented and intelligent student among the other students.

And my friends and parents were very proud of me,even my first best friend among a boy Ashok Kumar was also felt very happy with my friendship.

After completing my tenth grade I used to take home tutions to my neighbour kids, and earned my pocket money for my college expenses.

Because of my intelligence and hard work I got selected for the Oxford University higher education.

And all the arrangements were done for my dispature, only few formalities were left, and my college authorities and my friend brother was looking after it.

A week before I leave India, my dad gave a big party to all the friends and relatives of us.

" Raj and Parul you two are very lucky, really you have gifted by very talented and intelligent kids" my dad's friends said.

" And our Anu will be the first kid of our family going to foreign country for higher studies and that to Oxford University in London" my uncle Mohan said ( dad's younger brother).

Even I heard some persons murmuring and gossiping that" being a middle class family man, and a little drinking person Rajan has brought his kids in a good decipline"

Yes you heard correctly my papa has two bad habits drinking and smoking,but not too much like a drunkerd or chain smoker.

After coming back from the work he drinks a quarter bottle of whiskey daily and a packet of cigarette full day.

And immediately go to bed after having his dinner, and does not make us to know that he had drunk.

But we two knew about it, and we too act like we don't know anything about his that bad habit.

All congratulated me for my new foreign life,gave me some ideas and suggestions what to do and what not to do after the party.

Only four days left for my goals to get fulfilled,I'm talking about the higher education in London.

These days we were very happy and excited,but I think god don't want me to be happy always.

We were busy in preparing snacks for me ,and our neighbour sindhu siss came to us in a hurry.

" Paru akka(siss)where is your mobile? mohan anna( bro or brother in law) is trying your mobile from an hour"

" And it's not reachable,so he called me and asked me to give you the phone, please talk with him akka,it's very urgent" she said rubbing her tears with her towel.

" What happened Sindhu siss,why are you crying? is everything ok? please tell me na?"I said.

Before she can tell us anything,I heard my mom voice "Nooooo... it can't be true" and the sound thudam of my mom falling down.

Sindhu siss immediately sprinkled some water and said" Akka get ready soon with Anu and Jithu, my hubby is waiting with the car"

" But where we are going akka? and what happened to mom why she said Noooo and fainted too?" I asked.

" Anu dear I know you are the strongest and brave daughter of your parents,so listen carefully what I'm going to tell you"

" Today while your dad was working he skitted from the fifth floor building and felled on the ground floor"

" And now he is very serious and admitted in the Vasavi Anti Medical Hospital, and he is still unconscious" She said.

That's it I felt like someone snatched the world from under my legs, and I'm going to fall in a huge dig.
