4 days until the funeral
lizzie's POV
"so mom, where am i putting this set of flowers?" i questioned. my mother jumped out of her seat and came over to me. "i've got it." she smiled. she lifted the vase of flowers right out of my hands. "okay, let me know if there's anything i can do." i smile before heading back to our room.

"so you stayed the night?" i immediately said to jo as i walked in. she looked up from her journal with a surprised look. "uh, yeah." she looked up quickly. "while i have your full attention, i saw hope in dad's office snooping around. can you please go talk to her. she hates my guts." i questioned as i entered our closet.

i could hear rustling behind me. "thank you!" i yelled out as i began to hear the door slam.

josie's POV
i headed down the completely crowed halls to get to my dad's office. there are people coming from left and right. it's complete chaos. as i approached my dad's office door, i began to hear more and more voices. i begin to use my vampire hearing to try and hear what they're saying.

"nik we need to talk more about this!" a female voice yelled.

"damon bloody salvatore murdered our brother and you kept it a secret for 3 bloody days!" she continued. i backed away from the door. i think i heard something i wasn't supposed to hear.

as i slowly turned back around i bumped into the one person i didn't want to see. "hey josie!" hope's soft voice yelled from across the hallway. my eyes fluttered. i'm not exactly a good liar. "hey hope! what's up?" my voices stutters. "i need your opinion." she states.

"opinion on what?" i ask.

"which set of roses? white or red?" she questioned.

"white seems more sentimental." i respond. hope appears happy with my answer. "white it is." she smiles before heading off. "thanks for staying that night, by the way." she turns back around and smiles. "oh, you're welcome." i smile back.

3 days until the funeral
hope's POV
"mom!" i yell out. she comes to me instantly. "yes, hope?" she questions. "i need to talk with aunt davina, but i can't find her anywhere. i was wondering if you knew where she was." i ask. mom looks at me, confused. "i haven't see her anywhere. but i'd leave her be. she's probably still mourning." my mum went in for a hug. i hugged her back and felt her warmth surround me.

davina's POV
"what do you want klaus? i have a funeral to plan." my voice cracked. i was scared and klaus could tell. "davina there's something i need to tell you."
