What a Save

"Don't do it Marinette! You have to fight this!" Tikki whisper-shouted

But it was no use. Marinette couldn't hear her, her brain was literally dunked in milk. She was taking off the stopper from her earring as the Milk Maid watched confused when suddenly;

"Marinette!" Cat Noir cried landing in front of his friend

"How perfect is this! I've never met a cat who didn't like milk, would you like some kitty?" the Milk Maid asked

"Well, I'm lactose intolerant so I'm gonna have to turn down that offer of yours. But I'll take Marinette to-go thanks!" Cat Noir responded as he swooped up Marinette and took off running

"Come back here!" the Milk Maid cried    "Patience, Milk Maid, you know the plan." Hawkmoth said

Cat leapt over buildings with Marinette in his arms. She was stiff as a statue, he wasn't even sure if she was blinking.

"You should be safe here." Cat said letting Marinette down gently on the summit of the Eiffel Tower

"Uhh Marinette? Are you ok?"

She didn't hear him. All she could hear was a voice inside her head telling her to retrieve his miraculous for the Milk Maid. 

She threw a punch at him, which he easily dodged of course.

"What's wrong with you!" Cat asked

Still no reply. Marinette kept throwing punches and lunging herself at him. He did his best to avoid getting hit and keep her safe. After all, Marinette was one of his best friends, he would never want to hurt her.

By now he was sure something was wrong with her and he knew exaclty who has behind it. He tried to snap her out of it but it was no use.

Her eyes were slowly glazed over and soon enough they were completely white. Hhe could no longer see her sweet, bluebell eyes.

"Don't worry Marinette, Ladybug and I will save you!" Then he jumped off the Eiffel Tower in search of the Milk Maid

He was determined to save his friend, his one and only Princess.

The Milk Maid had been busy at work at Pont des Arts, gathering up more calves to do her bidding. Cat Noir spotted her but decided to stay hidden to figure out how to stop her.

"M'lady, I don't know where you are, but a girl from Francois-Dupont High School has been akumatized and you know I can't stop her without you. I need you ASAP." His stick beeped in response of his message 

"Is that a kitty I hear? Calves, fetch!" Milk Maid ordered

Cat Noir was able to hold his ground, but everytime he took out one, the Milk Maid would add another. Soon he was captured with his hands behind his back

"It's no use! I can't do this without Ladybug!"

"Aw, you miss your little lady? Hopefully she'll be here to join you soon enough."

Then she ordered her minions to turn him around so she could swipe his miraculous.

"Cataclysm!" he cried, not willing to give up his miraculous

"How foolish of you, now you only have a few minutes till you transform back, this'll only delay my victory!"

"I  think you're mistaken, that was never my plan."

Wwith a swift movement, Cat Noir cataclysmed the bridge under him causing everyone, including the Milk Maid, to fall into the waters below. He squirmed free and swam away. For a cat, he really didn't seem to mind water.

Once he was out of sight in a nearby alley, he detransformed a threw Plagg a piece of cheese

"Fuel up, buddy. We gotta do something about the milk maid."

"We won't get much further than we did last time without Ladybug, might as well enjoy my cheese."

"Ladybug's always the first to know when there's an akuma... I wonder if she's in trouble. If she is, were gonna have to do this mission solo."

"Yeah, because that went sooooo well last time. It's not gonna work, kid."

"Won't know until we try... Plagg, claws out!"

"You know, you could let me digest my cheeeeeeeeeese!" his kwami complained, getting sucked into his weilder's ring

With that, Cat Noir set off again to find the Milk Maid. He knew Marinette was in trouble, and he had a strong feeling Ladybug was too. He was determined to save both of them.

"Ugh, Hawkmoth I'm bored, there's nobody else around to try my delicious dairy products!" the Milk Maid groaned

"I'd like a sample." said Cat Noir twisting his baton

"Took you long enough.  Where'd you go? Looking for Ladybug?"

"As much as I wish she were here, I can defeat you just fine on my own."

It was a... sticky battle. But Cat Noir poured his whole heart into it

A/N: Hehe see what I did there- poured, milk hehe

He'd only had so many missions without Ladybug, so he had to have maximum focus.

"Oh! I just noticed, were wearing matching bells! How cute. Too bad we won't be twinsies once I get your miraculous and your little costume disappears."

"Get his miraculous Milk Maid!" Hawkmoth reminded

'The bell! That must be where her akumatized object!' Cat thought to himself

"This ends now! Cataclysm!" 

He used his fencing skills to dodge her attack and lightly tap her bell with his destructive touch

She fell to her knees as a black butterfly flew out of her bell and her costume disappeared

"What happened?"

Cat Noir helped her up, "Don't worry, you're safe now."

"Thank you... oh no! Look the akuma is getting away!"

A familiar yo-yo snatched the corrupted butterfly and purified it

"Bye bye little butterfly! Lucky charm!"

She repaired all the damage and all the Milk Maid's calves returned to normal and were escorted home by the little ladybugs

"Ladybug!" Cat Noir cried joyfully. "What happened to you?"

"I'll explain everything, I promise. But we should get Emma here back where she belongs."

After they took Emma back to her family, they retreated to a rooftop

"Are you ok, Bugaboo?"

"Yeah, I'm fine thanks to you. I'm so sorry you had to handle that akuma on your own."

" I know you would've come if you could."

"You really stepped up today, kitty. I owe you one." she kissed his cheek and disappeared into the sunset

Cat Noir let out a loving sigh and was about to head back to the Agreste Mansion when something darted into his brain

'I left Marinette at the Eiffel Tower! Hopefully she got taken home.'

Once again he found himself face-to-face with the Dupain-Cheng bakery. He peeked through Marinette's skylight and found her safe and sound doodling in her sketchbook. He wanted to knock to ask her if she was alright, but it had been such a long day he decided to just head home

"I wonder what that was." Marinette said to her kwami in response to Cat Noir leaping off her roof

Hey pixies! Soooo I had some free time on my hands and seeing as today is Easter Sunday I thought you all deserved a chapter. On that note, I hope you all have a magical easter or just a magical day if you don't celebrate it! I'll probably start rolling out chapters by late April when most of my schoolwork has been taken off my shoulders. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and I'll see you all next time! Baii! <3
