chapter 4: cori and fallon

" oh, yeah, it was just a little nightmare.  Nothing to worry about. So you two are mother and daughter? Thats cool, its always nice to see families studying the magical arts together." Courtney said looking around to see where they were. Her vision was a bit blurry but once it turned normal again she saw cori and fallon clearly. Cori was an adult wearing pretty red armor, she looked like a high level. Courtney checked her stats and she was level 50, wow! She had beautiful pink long hair and pretty blue eyes. She looked over at fallon and she was wearing green armor, she looked like a lower level then cori and courtney checked her stats and she was level 13 like courtney was. She had the same eye color as cori. " wow. Cori you're a high level! And fallon, you're the same level as me, awesome!" Courtney said with delight in her eyes, not noticing the blood stains all over her. " thanks but, is that blood all over your armor? Did something happen? It looks stained." Cori said. " u-uh.... well, um. Its blood, but its fake! Its almost halloween anyway, just testing out the fake blood for my costume." Courtney said with a nervous tone and sweating a little bit thinking they would find out about what she did. " cool, whatcha gonna be?" Fallon said smiling. " a vampire...." courtney said a little silent. " nice.. i was planning ln being the same thing haha" cori said. " really? Then maybe we could be vampires together! Wanna hang out on halloween?" Courtney said without the nervous tone. " sure, but we're gonna be questing all halloween." Cori said. " thats okay with me, i dont mind questing" courtney said with a happy smile. " alright, their gonna be halloween quests so they might not be too hard for you" fallon said. Fallon then noticed burn marks on courtney's face arms and neck. " hey, are those burn marks?" Fallon asked. " oh, well, yes. But it was from a while ago." Courtney said not smiling anymore. " what happened?" Cori asked. " house fire...." courtney replied looking down at the ground. " oh no, was everyone ok?" Fallon asked with a sad look on her face. " no, not everyone. One died.." courtney said with a couple tears running down her face.

" but its all ok, everyone else made it out safely." She said wiping away the tears.

" well, we're sorry for your loss." Cori said.

" its alright.." courtney said
