chapter 2: cursed

Courtney got out of her bed and went outside to calm herself down when she noticed that it was still night time. She liked the night, it was her favorite time. It was so dark and calm and everything was silent. But this night seemed different, all the shadows that were everywhere came to life and were flying all around ravenwood. But they noticed that Courtney was awake and gathered up to create one big mass of dark, they approached her and she tried to back away. She tried opening the door but somehow it was locked from the inside and the key was inside as well, they got really close and started to form eyes. Finally they rushed at her and her vision went black.   When she woke up she was in her dorm laying on  her bed.  She looked out the window and it was day. " huh, was i having a dream... inside a dream. If i was im glad it wasnt real, either of them" she said with a slight pain on the back of her neck. She went outside and ravenwood was really busy, courtney's neck hurt really bad so she felt the back of her neck to see if anything was biting her. She felt  a cold switch kind of thing and flipped it up, her eyes turned red and she felt the need to kill everything in sight. " w-whats happening?" She asked as she floated off the ground. She saw two students walking with each other on their way to the life school and she flew over to them, she tried to stop herself but she couldnt control her actions anymore, like as if someone was controlling her. Shadows amerged from her back and wrapped around the two girls and lifted them off the ground. The shadows were squeezing them tightly until they couldnt breathe. " no... no! Stop!" She cried out but no one could hear her. The girls stopped breathing and the shadows let go and they fell to the ground dead. The switch flipped back down and her eyes went back to normal and she fell to the ground almost out of breath. She crawled over to the girls and started to cry " how could i have done this? They didnt do anything! What have i done?!"
