Chapter 2- The ball

(Dress at the top, sorry I just love these dresses sm)

Ada stood in front of the mirror looking at herself she had the dress on with heels and her face had make-up. She did mascara and a red lip to go with it but the red was almost a blood red. Her heels were black and she had pot on stocking though you couldn't really see her legs.

Ada walked down the stairs she saw Tommy leaning against a post. He was in suit just a casual black and white one. Walking further down the steps Tommy looked up hearing heels. Tom was in aw as he saw Ada walking down the steps. "You look beautiful" Tommy said holding out his hand. She gave a twirl before laughing "I feel like a princess Tommy" She said, Tommy loved seeing her happy which was almost rare to see only special moments like this and with Lady.

"You already are one, Dear" He hummed guiding her down the steps toward him, she linked their arms together. "I know" She hummed walking beside him. Stepping out a while ran down Ada's spine from the chill of the night. Tommy opened the car door for her and then went to the driver's side.

When they arrived she stepped out and looked around. A white building was in front of them and building,  she could hear music playing, Tommy came over and grabbed her hand taking her up to the building. Upon entering she saw a ballroom. The walls were a cream color, chandeliers hung from the ceiling give off a yellow hue and the ballroom floor was littered with people, men and woman dancing some men sitting down and woman talking. She stepped further into the room down there steps.

Now she took in everything she could see a bar where the drinks were and tables spread across the room. Men stopped and look at her as she stood in the doorway but stopped as soon as they saw Tommy come to her side.

"Let's go dance hmm" Tommy purred in her ear she smiled "Sure" Taking his hand, he guided her to the dance floor. "Did I tell you how beautiful you looked" He said, She nodded "Yes and did I tell you how handsome you looked" She whispered into his ear as they danced. 

As they danced she could feel eyes on her, Tommy's grip tightened as they danced and she knew he was getting jealous. 

"Excuse me for a second Darling" Tommy said before letting her go and step to the side, she watched him go up to a man before leaving, she decided to go to the bar and wait for his return. Silence didn't last long as she heard a man sit down next to her. "Hello" He said putting his hand on her thigh "Get your hand off me" She growled turning toward him. "Oh come on" He purred not taking his hand off her, slowly she reached for her knife that was in her leg holster. "Look I'm not saying it again pal" She said taking her knife out and flashing it at him. "You won't use it" He smirked which she returned "Watch me" She whispered in his ear before stabbing him in the stomach covering his mouth so he couldn't scream. Ada took out the knife placing it back in the holster before whispering in his ear "Next time don't touch me eh" Standing up she made her way to the door Tommy had gone through. "No ladies allowed" The man said stopping her "I need to see Tommy" Ada said annoyed, "Look I can't-" He started before Tommy's cut him off "Let her through, Ada" Tommy was now beside the man studying Ada, her hand was covered in blood.

"Ada" Tommy gave her a stern look before taking her wrist and leading her to the bathroom. "What happened" He asked cleaning her hand "Some guys started touchin' and fliterin' with me I wasn't haven it" Ada just shrugged, Tommy glanced at her before looked at her hand and huffing. "Dear I love you but you can't be doin' this at event's aye" Ada nodded "Yes sir" She saluted with her free hand causing a smile to break out on Tommy's face. 

When he finished she kissed him "Thank you Tom" Ada got on the desk she was sitting on "When can we leave" She asked, Ada didn't want to spend anymore time there. "In a few, why?" He asked putting his hand around her waist, "No reason" She mumbled back, before seeing some drinks "Ooh" She started to walk off to the drinks grabbing one.

After many drinks she was stumbling and drunk, trying to find Tommy again. Sitting down next to a random man. "Hii" She stumbled, the man shot her a glance "Hello" Ada hiccupped "Do you k-know where" She stopped for a moment "Where T-Tommy is" The man stood up and left. Oh come on, she laid down her head where the man once was before a arm went to her shoulder. "Hello darling" Tommy's blue eyes looked at her she smiled "Hello Tom" She tried sitting up before falling in Tommy's arms "Eh sorry, can we go home Tommy" Ada didn't ask she was basically begged to go home. Tommy combed his finger's through her hair "Of course Ada" Picking her up brindle style Tommy carried her out and to the car, placing her inside, Ada started to fall asleep but Tommy informed her that they were home. Tommy carried her inside placing her in the bed.

"Tom-Tommy can you hand me my nightgown" She mumbled, the dress she was wearing was too uncomfortable to wear to sleep. Changing Ada laid back down laying her head on Tommy's chest. "Nigh' Tom" She whispered before closing her eyes and falling asleep. "Night Ada"

Ada woke up the next morning to find Tommy not in bed next to her, she pouted before getting up. She had a splitting headache so she made her way to the kitchen to grab medicine and some tea. A note was left on the table.

Morin' Love, I'll be working late tonight don't wait for me.

Tommy

She would probably just clean and maybe take Lady out for a ride through the village and on the hill. Started she made a cup of tea and took medicine, after she started to clean to house not Tommy's office though or he would be angry and complain.

After hours of cleaning she decided to go greet Lady and tack her up. Going outside she saw the familiar dark grey cloud covering the sky looking down on her. She frowned why did it always have to be dark outside. Making her way to the stable, Ada picked up Lady's tack before continuing. "Hey beauty" She cooed, unlocking Lady's stall allowing her to step out into the grass.

Ada was enjoying the sound of Lady's hooves hitting the pavement. Entering the town Ada smiled at everyone they passed, when the reached the hill Ada looked out onto the beach, the current was rough today. Finding a tree Ada loosely tied Lady up before plopping down onto the ground leaning against the tree. Ada had fallen asleep and didn't even know until she was being pulled up, she didn't have time to progress anything as she had just been woken up the only thing she had seen was Lady bite the man that had picked her up. Soon she felt hot liquid running down her face taking her hand to her face and pulling it down she saw blood, Was she bleeding? But upon turning around she saw the man on the ground with blood running out of him, looking closer she saw his ear was ripped off. Lady must have ripped it off to save me. Ada looked to Lady, she was breathing heavy and was walking to Ada. "It's okay" Ada cooed "Thank you girl" Ada grabbed Lady's reins before leading her back into the village.

A/n: Sorry this one's a bit short, but I might now post the next chapter till Wednesday or Saturday because I'm starting in person school again so yay I guess, my anxiety defiantly isn't helping but yea.
