Harry was so zoned out staring at Draco that he didn't hear the woman talking to him. "Hogwarts, dear?" the lady asked him, stepping in front of Harry to gain his attention. "What, oh, yes Hogwarts," Harry replied. The lady nodded and walked Harry over to the footstool next to Draco. "Step up dear, I'll go get my tools," Madam Malkin said before turning on her heel and walking away. Draco over at Harry, and Harry could've sworn he saw him smile a bit. "Hello," said Draco, "Hogwarts, too?" Harry nodded a bit and smiled awkwardly. "I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, and..." he looked Harry up and down smirking a tiny bit, "you are?"

Harry was a bit taken aback. The first time this happened Draco didn't bother introducing himself until they got to the school. "I'm Harry Potter," Harry said looking at the boy's facial expression change. "I'm so sorry," he said quickly, "If I had known who you were I wouldn't have said that so rudely." Draco looked down ashamed. Harry had never seen him like this before and he felt almost sympathetic for him. "You shouldn't say things coldly to people no matter who they are," Harry said looking forward. "Father says some wizarding families are better than others, and that we should act superior because we are," Draco said still looking down.

"You know," Harry looked at Draco, who looked back at him, "You don't have to listen and believe everything your father says. You can have your own beliefs." Draco thought about this and realized, Harry was right. "But father would kill me if he knew I didn't care about blood superiority, I could never have my own thoughts," he said. Harry smiled, "Then he doesn't have to know does he?" Draco smiled back and then stuck out his hand for Harry, "Friends?" Harry looked at it and thought for a moment, was this a bad idea? Maybe I can help him though, so it's worth a shot, but what about Ron and Hermione, he's been terrible to them. Then again none of that has happened yet, Draco could change.

Draco saw Harry contemplating for a long time and started to pull his hand away, but Harry grabbed onto it before he could. "Friends," Harry said smiling. Draco had never been happier. They shook hands for a while and were looking at each other, none of them realizing they've been staring at each other for almost a whole minute. "I need your arm," Madam Malkin said, waiting for them to stop shaking hands so she could fit Harry. They noticed what they were doing and quickly let go of the other boy's hand while turning forward. "Thank you," she said.

Both boys had massive blushes on their faces, and Draco found himself stealing glances at the other boy. Draco felt something different towards the boy and he didn't know what. Harry felt eyes on him and looked over at Draco just in time to see him glancing over. Draco blushed even more and turned away, while Harry smiled. "All done," said the lady who was fitting Draco. He got off the footstool and began to walk out before saying, "See you at Hogwarts, Potter." Harry smirked at the use of his last name, which he missed very dearly, and waved at Draco.

Hagrid appeared outside the window just as Draco walked out. They looked at each other and Draco nodded respectfully. Harry beamed at this, maybe he can change. Hagrid just looked appalled but didn't say anything, he looked in the window and showed he had ice cream so he couldn't come inside. "That's you done, dear," said Madam Malkin, and Harry hopped off the footstool. Hagrid handed him his ice cream when Harry walked out. "Thanks, Hagrid," Harry said and began walking with Hagrid to get the rest of his supplies.

A/N

Yay, they're friends now!!!!

I hope you liked this chapter, and if there's anything you'd want to see in this story just leave a comment, I'm down for anything. I plan to make this fanfic go through all of the years at Hogwarts, so if there's something you'd like to see happen let me know cause I would love some ideas :))

Also sorry for the shorter chapters, I find it easier to get the story moving this way. So, I'll probably be able to update more often. Anyways see ya in the next chapter. :))
