A/N: Okay so for some scenes you probably noticed were like the movie version, but others were like the books (ex. Harry and Draco meeting at madam malkins like in the book, and then in this chapter, Hagrid bringing Harry to Kings Cross instead of Vernon like in the movie). This is because some scenes in the books I liked better than the movie and some scenes I like the movie version better. So I decided to mash them I guess. So yeah just wanted to let that be known. On with the story.
Once they were done with getting all of Harry's supplies, they headed off to King's Cross Station. Hagrid took out his watch and exclaimed, "Blimey is that the time? I better get going, Dumbledore will be wanting to see me." He patted his jacket where he had put the small bag from the vault in. Harry knew it was the Philosopher's Stone and sighed to himself.
"The train leaves in 10 minutes, here's your ticket," Hagrid handed him the platform 9 3/4 ticket, "Remember to stick to your ticket, Harry, stick to it." Then he was off. Harry looked down at the ticket, memory's flooding his mind. He smiled and headed off to the platform.
As he was nearing the platform entrance, he spotted the Weasleys. God he had missed them so much and they didn't even know who he was yet. He decided to approach them the same way he did in 1st year, and he turned on his oblivious mode.
"Excuse me, could you tell me how to- how to- you know," Harry asked Molly. "How to get on the platform," she smiled, "Don't worry it's Ron's first time too. Just go straight through that wall, best to start with a run." Harry nodded and backed up. He steadied himself and started running to the wall. It went black but soon he could see he was on the Platform.
~~~~~
Harry was sitting alone in his compartment when he heard the door slide open. "Do you mind if I sit here, everywhere else is full," the red-head said. Harry motioned for the seat in front of him, excited to finally see his best friend again.
"I'm Ron Weasley," he said happily. Harry smiled and replied, "I'm Harry, Harry Potter." Ron made a surprised face, "So it's true? Do you really have the-the," he turned to a whisper, "scar?" Harry laughed a bit and lifted his hair to show him. Ron's smile grew and he was about to say more but was interrupted by the trolly lady.
"Anything from the trolly, dear?" she spoke. Ron pulled out a sandwich and pulled a grossed-out look, "It's fine, I'm all set." Harry quickly pulled out a bunch of galleons and said, "We'll take the lot!"
~~~~~
The two boys were surrounded by different candies and pastries, eating about everything they could. Ron was about to try his "spell" on Scabbers when suddenly the compartment door swung open revealing none other than Hermione Jean Granger. Oh, how Harry's missed her.
"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one," she said in her usual bossy tone. They both shook their heads. Hermione was about to walk off but noticed the wand in Ronald's hand. "Are you doing magic? Let's see then." She says down and Ron looked taken aback. "Er- all right." He cleared his throat.
"Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow."
Of course, nothing happened, just like last time. "Are you sure that's a real spell?" said Mione, "Well, it's not very good, is it? I've only tried a few simple spells, but they've all worked for me. Anyways, I'm Hermione Granger, and you are?" She said.
"Ron Weasley," Ron said with food in his mouth. Hermione looked sorta disgusted and before turning to Harry said, "Pleasure, and you?"
"Harry Potter," he said. "Holy cricket," said Hermione, only a bit star-struck, "Do either of you know what House you'll be in? I've asked around, and I hope I'm in Gryffindor, it sounds by far the best; I suppose Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad either..." she said this all very fast, reminding him of the old- new- nonexistent- whatever times they had.
"All my family is in Gryffindor, I hope I'm in there," Ron said excitedly. Hermione nodded and turned to Harry. Harry looked at both of them before answering, "I don't really care what House I'm in." He looked down.
Hermione and Ron looked at him weirdly, looked at each other, then looked back at Harry. "Well I guess, but definitely not Slytherin though right?" Hermione asked. Ron nodded his head agreeing with her.
"I wouldn't care," Harry shrugged his shoulders. Both their eyes looked like they'd pop out of their sockets. "But all Slytherins are bad, why would you want to be there?" Ron asked almost yelling. Harry was getting angry, he forgot how much Slytherin was looked down upon.
"Not all Slytherins are bad," Harry said forgetting he isn't supposed to know anything yet. He realized this and quickly added, "Well I mean Hagrid told me about his one Hogwarts professor who was in Slytherin and said he was terribly nice." Hermione and Ron looked rather skeptical but decided not to push the subject, which Harry was grateful for.
"Well, you two best get your robes on, I expect we'll be arriving soon." She got up to leave and was about to, but stopped and turned to Ron before saying, "You've got dirt on your nose, by the way, did you know?" She pointed on her nose to show Ron and left. As Ron tried to wipe the dirt off Harry looked out the window and thought, 'This is harder than I thought.'
I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see ya in the next one!!
