<Administration>

P: Send him to counseling, and see if the psychologist can tag him as mentally unstable.  That might take time.  Change schizo's elective to counseling.  A: That's not a subject.

P: Well, create one.  We need to get rid of him as fast as we can for mental instability or something.  We can't afford to wait for him to cause trouble and ruin the school's reputation.  Our donors will not tolerate it.

A: How do you know he's going to be trouble? P: You don't seriously think he's here to learn and socialize do you?  He's trouble.  I can tell.  He's the type who thinks he knows everything. What are you waiting for?  A: Is there anything else?  P: No.  A: I'm on it.

<Counseling>

Counselor: Hi sc..hi..zo.  SZ: <nods>  C: Apparently, I was asked to do a psychological examination on you.  SZ: That's not standard protocol.  C: No, you are not required to take it, it's voluntary.  Why do you think they asked me.  SZ: They don't pay you enough to sound sincere.

C: Fair enough, I'd rather watch a kdrama, but you're here.  It's not just a one-time assessment, it's your elective, so we need to spend an hour daily with each other.  You must be special, this is the first time they created a class for one student.  Who knows, maybe they will kick me out too.  You know, kill two birds with one stone.

SZ: No. That sounds antiquated and barbaric.

C: Well, I guess I'm out of touch with the youths of today.  I was told to do a psychological test on you to get you removed from the school on the basis that you are mentally unstable and pose a threat to the students.

SZ: That goes without saying.  C: Right.  Then you know I would probably get fired if I don't.  Fortunately, they know it's not something one can do in a day or week.  I have to report to them weekly.  They gave me 2 months.  They're doing this to get rid of you, under the pretense to help you.

SZ: Why are you telling me this.  C: You already know, so what's the point of lying to you.

SZ: You're better than this.  C: Thanks schizo.  You know it's strange and ironic for me to be calling you that.

SZ: Tell me why I should trust you.  C: You shouldn't.  I'm the last person you should trust.  My position can do you harm.  Labeling you schizophrenic can get you locked up.  I don't think you are.  But I also don't know what's in your mind.  I have your record, so I know you're smart and self-taught.  But I don't know your past. And you're a hard read. But something tells me I need to give you the benefit of the doubt.

SZ: You know you're going to get fired after 2 months.  C: I knew when they asked me to do this. They are not going to care if I say that you're not crazy.  They will just find someone else.  But you already knew.

SZ: I'm sorry about this.  C: You know, I believe you.  All I can do is put in an honest report and give you a copy, to help you refute them.  And I will be moving on after 2 months, which you knew I should do anyway.  Thanks.
