Scripting isn't necessary, but it is recommended. Your script is basically a description of the place you want to shift to. The place you are shifting to is called your DR (Dream Reality), and where you are before you shift is called your CR (Current Reality).
Everything you need to script is down below. You can add anything you want, and I will add in examples of my script so you can see what it looks like.

Your Dream Reality
You need to describe your dream reality as much as you can. This is mine :)
I attend Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, at the castle in Scotland. Everything is the same as normal, but without Voldermort. (To script this, I say: Voldermort/Tom Riddle was killed by Harry potter in 1981. He's gone forever.) Everyone in my DR will remain safe.
Hogwarts Scripting
If you are shifting to Hogwarts, you should really include these things.
-I know my way around the castle
-I know where my classes are, and what classes I take
-I know all topics I have covered in my past years
-I have a good relationship with my professors
-My friends have classes with me
Backstory:
A backstory is harder to write, so I'm going to use mine as an example.
My Parents and Extended family were killed by Death Eaters in the First Wizarding War, leaving only me and my older brother Jordan alive. Jordan and I live by ourselves, next door to the Burrow. The Weasleys looked after us as kids, and we are practically family with everyone there. I am in 4th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in Slytherin house. Jordan is in Gryffindor, and is best friends with Fred and George Weasley.
Friends:
Friend profiles can also be hard to write, so here's one of mine. Make one for each friend (they don't need to be this long) and make one for your friend group.
Hermione Granger: Hermione Granger has been my best friend since the train to the castle in our first year. She's in Gryffindor, but we have sleepovers at each-other's dorms all the time. We take turns sitting at each-other's house tables for meals. Her nickname is Mione. She's in all of my classes. She's funny, and we gossip about everything all the time. We watch The Breakfast Club together all the time because it was the first movie we ever saw together (It's become tradition). We take Polaroids together (With our friends too) and stick them up around my dorm.
Important things to add:
-I can't get pregnant
-I can't get my period
-I don't have any body hair except for head hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.
-I always have clear skin
-I'm good at makeup
-I have endless money
-I have an endless closet
-I have all the makeup I need
-I don't gain any weight (Not essential! All bodies are beautiful!)
-I never embarrass myself
-My voice and laugh aren't obnoxious
-My dorm never gets messy
MOST IMPORTANT:
-Spawn Point (Eg. Your dorm room):
-Time difference (1 minute in my CR=1 week in my DR)
-YOUR SAFEWORD!!! Write: My safeword is eg. Hopscotch. When I say my safeword, I will be brought back to my CR.
-I will not forget my safeword
-I will not experience any trauma
-I will not bring any of my bad emotions into my CR
-If you want, make sure to script out mental illnesses. My first time scripting I forgot so script a few things out about me so I felt really shit the entire time.
-I will be safe from all harm
-I will not die in my my DR, and if I do, I will be brought back to my CR safely.
-When I arrive in my DR, my eyes will automatically open.
-When I leave my dream reality, time will freeze and resume on my return.
Something cool I saw on tiktok is: When you go up to a mirror, you can say "Mirror Mirror on the wall" and it will show you what's happening in your current reality.
