My slumber is rudely disturbed by Monokuma's morning, causing me to slip out of the bed, then fix it and clean myself up a bit. I don't move from my seat on the bed after finishing, my gut telling me to stay put for now. As I do, I try to take in the events of yesterday. If we want to leave, we have to get away with murder, and we have to abandon our classmates. 5 minutes pass and just as I'm about to stand up, I hear a knock at my door, but not just any knock, the specific one that Byakuya and I have used since we were kids. I swing the door open and notice him look around before slipping inside.
"We'll have meet ups every day in my room at 1am, let me know it's you by using this knock, understand?"
I nod my head and he looks up, eyes narrowing at the amount of cameras in my room. "Monokuma sees me as a threat so he placed more in my room" I explain
"I see" He fixes his glasses and turns back to the door. "Keep this act going, as far as everyone else knows, I hate you as much as I hate everyone else"
"Got it" I open the door, peering out of it to check if anyone is outside, then motion for him to get out. I wait about another minute and just as I step out, a voice calls out to me
"Y/n right?" I swing my head around to see Kyoko standing outside my door.
"Kirigiri-san...you scared me" I place a hand over my chest and let out a breath. Hopefully she didn't see Byakuya come out of my room.
"You can drop the formalities and call me by my first name. And there is something I'd like to discuss with you" She crosses her arms and motions for me to follow her. I do and nervously tug on my sleeve, trying to lay out all the possibilities of her seeing Byakuya.
'She couldn't have, i made sure of it'
We reach the dining hall and noticing no one is around, we take a seat at one of the tables. Neither of us say anything while I continue to tug on my sleeve under the table thinking of different excuses. She suddenly lets out a sigh and makes eye contact with me.
"You don't seem too on edge about being with someone who wasn't phased by this scenario. Why is that?"
I narrow my eyes at her slightly, sitting up and crossing my legs. "Should I be? You don't seem like the type of person that would be so desperate as to crumble under pressure and kill someone"
She smirks, leaning back in her chair. "You're right....anyways what I wanted to discuss is why you weren't phased."
"Couldn't the same question be asked of you?"
"I suppose"
I let out a sigh, knowing I'm getting nowhere with her. "Nothing will be gained if we panic, that will only cause us to slowly go insane, so rather than panicking at the current situation, I chose to accept it and move on"
"A realist" She nods. "Interesting"
"My turn to ask a question" I sit forward, resting my chin on my hands. "What was your real reason for calling me here"
She closes her eyes, a small smile forming on her face. "You're interesting that's all"
"Very well, I'll be taking my leave then" I leave the room and let out a breath of relief once outside.
'I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for her...there's still a lot of time left in the day so I guess I should explore what I didn't yesterday'
Looking straight ahead, a bathhouse is revealed, but is covered by tape labeled keep out. Just next to it is the laundry room. I examine the inside, clothes already hanging and Chihiro also looking around. Giving her a small smile and waving, I leave the room shortly after and head back to the other side of the first floor. There are two classrooms here, one of which is where I woke up, but both looking almost identical. Next up is a CD room which serves no purpose to us as of yet. A bunch of computers are lined up throughout the room, more than enough for all of us here at this school. Then we have the entrance that still holds two cameras and loaded machine guns hanging over them. The nurses office is another thing i notice, but it's also labeled keep out.
'Seriously what's the point of a nurse's office if you're not going to let us in there'
Continuing making my way through, two bathrooms are revealed, one for the males and one for the females, and then back to square one, the gym. Deciding I have nothing better to do, I open the door, revealing Makoto and Sayaka, both alone talking.
"Sorry I didn't mean to disturb you both" I laugh nervously and start heading back to the Inn. Talk about awkward.
The rest of the day is filled with nothing. Before I know it, Monokuma makes the announcement that it's bedtime and I shut off the lights in my room and lay in bed. I silently wait until 1am and once the time comes, I swiftly get up, quietly open the door and close it, then move to Byakuya's door. Using the knock, he opens it slightly and I walk inside, shutting the door carefully. Byakuya waits on his bed and I sit next to him, glancing up toward the camera.
"Anything to report?"
"I need to keep a close eye on that Kyoko Kirigiri. She asked to speak with me and ended up interrogating me. I thought she was onto us because it was right after you left my room"
"Well? Is she?"
"Impossible. You can't outwit a spy no matter how smart you are" I cross my arms, a scowl forming on my face
"Look who's the cocky one now" Byakuya teases, releasing a small chuckle
"I'm not being cocky I'm, being realistic. We don't know much about her, but she doesn't know much about me either, that's probably what's drawing her toward me."
"Isn't that what's making you curious of her as well?"
I let out a sigh, leaning on his arm. I feel him roll his eyes, but I don't move. "Why did you pick 1am it's late and I'm tired"
"Would you rather run the risk of getting caught?"
"Whatever" I whisper, closing my eyes and drifting off.
I wake up the next morning before the Monokuma announcement, checking the time and noticing it's 6:30 am. I look to my side to see Byakuya sleeping peacefully. Slightly smiling at his peaceful form, I press a kiss on his cheek before slipping out of the room carefully. I get into my room and fix myself up before letting out a sigh and turning to see Monokuma.
"Oh~" he starts to snicker, causing me to roll my eyes in annoyance. "A girl spending the night in a guys room! How inconceivable!"
I glare at the beat I'm front of me, while he just continues to snicker. "Did you come here just to mock me or was there something else?" He sighs, then meets my gaze
"You know....the secret is going to come out eventually. What's the worth of keeping it?"
"Not that it's any of your business, but Byakuya and I agreed that this was the best course of action" I cross my arms, beginning to walk to my door. Suddenly I'm stopped by Monokuma continuing.
"Did you really agree or do you just not want him to be angry if you disagree with him?" I stay quiet and the two toned bear continues. "How can you even be sure he even wants to be with you if you're always doing what he says-" I cut him off by throwing a fork i kept from yesterday at him. He quickly dodges it, narrowing his eyes at me
"Shut up Monokuma, you don't know anything"
He quickly disappears, leaving me by myself to think of what he said. I soon hear the morning announcement go off, signaling the time for everyone to wake up and shake my head trying to rid of these thoughts
'He's just trying to get in your head Y/n....besides Byakuya made you a promise...he wouldn't break it'
