Raph whipped his head around and looked at the himan kid who just walked up to him. What surprises him more is the fact that the boy didn't look scared. He looked, concerned.

Treece: Are you okay?

Raph: Y-You're not... afraid of me?

Treece: What?

Raph: You're not screaming or running away?

Treece: Why would I?

Raph: Because I'm a freak. A mutant.

Treece: Buddy, I've seen horror movies way freakier than you.

Raph looked at the boy confused. But his faced turned into a relieved one. This boy wasn't afraid of him. And he was happy for that.

Treece: So, are you okay?

Raph: No. My brothers just benched me. All because I've got a temper. If anything my temper makes me the strongest on our team.

Treece: Well that is an advantage to a temper.

Raph: Thank you!

Treece: But, there's also disadvantages.

Raph: Huh?

Treece: I mean, temper can help you win a fight. But it can also cause one that's unnecessary.

Raph: Well how would you know? You've never had to worry about being called a freak.

Treece: No. But I have been insulted. A bunch of times really. But I don't let them get to me.

Raph: How?

Treece: Because they're just insults. They're not facts about me. They're just words meant to make me feel bad. Whether it's anger or sadness. Don't let them push your buttons man, it's just like a river over stone.

Raph looked down and thought about those words. After a few seconds, he smiled.

Raph: Thanks uh...

Treece: Treece. Names Treece.

Raph: Raphael. And thanks Treece. Hope to run into you again.

And just like that, Raph raced off to find his brothers and help them stop the Kraang.

Treece: Right back at ya, Raph.

Treece decided to head back home and get some sleep. After all, he has school tomorrow.

End of Prologue. Sorry for not updating. I've been distracted, again. I'll try to stay more focused on this than on some other things. Hope this gives you guys some ideas. See ya next chapter! 👋
