Brielle woke to the sound of crashing thunder, her eyes straining against the bright light in her room that was caused by the flash of lightning. She sat upright in her bed only to find that she had tossed and turned until the blankets and sheets had been kicked to the floor. Her heart was pounding and her skin glistened with sweat droplets. She couldn't remember what she had been dreaming about, but an all too familiar tingling sensation served as a clear indicator.
Throwing her feet over the side of the mattress she pushed herself to her feet and crossed the room to the doorway. Slowly she turned the knob and pulled until the looming darkness of the hallway overpowered her eyes. She waited for her vision to adjust before continuing down the hallway.
The soft silk of her thin strapped pajama top brushed lightly against her chest as she moved, just as the bottoms swayed just below her backside. Her footfalls were silent as she softly padded through the apartment until she reached the end of the hall and stopped. She waited until another flash of lightning illuminated the living room where she was able to see the massive figure lying on the sofa. Again she waited for her eyes to adjust and she continued further into the darkness.
She crept slower than before, allowing her muscle memory to serve as a mapped layout of the room. Expertly she shifted sideways to dodge the corner of the loveseat, and then the coffee table until she came to a stop directly in front of the sofa.
O'kaor's body dwarfed the large piece of furniture, the rattling purr of his snore filling the room. It was a sound she had longed to hear for so long, and it sent chills along her body when it finally met her ears once more. Another flash of lightning let her see that his eyes were closed, the alien warrior sleeping soundly as she observed him. She leaned closer, now only inches away from him. Another illuminating flash revealed two beady amber eyes staring directly at her and her heart skipped a beat as her fight-or-flight reflex kicked into high gear. She ignored it.
O'kaor's mandibles flicked lightly through the air and a light growl rumbled deep within his chest. "Do you have a death wish?" Brielle didn't answer, only continued to stare at those terrifying eyes that almost seemed to glow in the darkness and reflected the flashes of lightning like brilliant stars. "You ignore me now?"
"Come with me." Brielle rose to her full height and began to walk away from him but he did not move from his position on the couch. After a moment she glanced over her shoulder and stopped as if to wait for him.
"What is it that makes you believe I would follow orders from you?"
"Please come with me?"
"No."
"Why?"
"An explanation is not required."
She frowned but the tingling sensation increased. Something about his refusal only seemed to make the situation that much more enticing. "You know what I'm asking..."
"You have asked for nothing. Besides, your request would mean little even if it did exist."
Brielle frowned again but shrugged away his comment. "Fine, I'll leave you alone." O'kaor said nothing as she continued back to her bedroom. She closed the door behind her and leaned against it for a moment before a thought popped into her head. She stifled a giggle as the mischievous wheels began to turn round and round in her head.

O'kaor watched the female as she departed, her hips swaying all the while. The sweet aroma that filled the air still tickled his throat as his tusks continued to flick ever so slightly. He grunted at the thought of her invitation and rolled to his side before closing his eyes in an attempt to return to his slumber."Hey, Trevor? Yeah, it's me. Can you come over? We need to hook up." O'kaor's eyes suddenly widened the the point they felt as if they would bulge from their sockets. "Great! See you in a few minutes. I'll be naked and ready when you get here."
The Yautja warrior was on his feet and storming into the females room within an instant. When the door swung open and slammed against the wall he found Brielle standing a few meet away with her arms folded over her chest, her hip popped to the side, and a victorious smile revealing her sparkling teeth.
"Oh, damn...no reception. The call didn't go through..! How unfortunate." O'kaor snarled at her feigned sorrow. She moved to close the door but the massive warrior placed a firm hand on the wood and swung it open once more with more force than was necessary.
Brielle looked up at him with a mischievous grin. "What's wrong Ghost? You look miffed."
He said nothing for a moment before turning to go back to the living room. Brielle huffed and sat on the edge of the bed, draping one leg over the other as she watched him leave.
Well that's not how you were supposed to react...
