Not your ordinary school project

Chapter Two

Sacha sat in her favourite armchair, right by the windows. The windows were the thing Sacha loved the most about the common room. They looked out into the lake as the common room was underwater and occasionally the giant squid swam past the window. She was broken out of her thoughts by someone tapping on her shoulder. "You coming or are you still going to dream about your halfblood girlfriend, well at least she isn't a mudblood." 

With incredible speed she pulled out her wand and shouted "petrificus totalus, enjoy trying to get Crabbe and Goyle to release you. Don't ever insult my girlfriend ever again." with that she stalked off towards the great hall for breakfast. 

After breakfast she got her bag ready and walked towards the classroom at the top of the tower, they had the new subject domestic sciences first. Because they were from different houses they arrived early for classes and would chat in the classroom. The classroom she entered was on the fifth floor and was a large room. All the desks and chairs had gone and instead there was a long couter on one side, facing windows that looked out onto the quidditch pitch. The counter was filled with cauldrons, cooking utensils and strangely children books. She could see a battered 'Tales of Beedle the Bard' lying next to a large cauldron. On the opposite wall were large boxes filled to the brim with toys and baby clothes. She shrugged and sat down on the counter.

Shortly after she sat down Giovanna and Jamie entered laughing. Although Giovanna wore the traditional kilt Jamie was wearing trousers, they always wore that, well ever since they had come out. They were about to start talking when to Sacha when Sarah and Sarah entered, followed by Ellie. After five minutes talking about everything, the teacher entered. He was tall, in about his thirties, with ruffled, curly brown hair. Seconds after he had arrived Anna and Xorsheed came rushing in, muttering that they had overslept. 

The teacher called for silence, just after the group had looked round the room and realized they were the only pupils there. "Today we will be starting the project that you will be doing throughout the year. This is because this project will help us look at all the topics we are studying. The project is Raising Children. Each of you will be turned into a child self, well technically a child self will be made out of all your childhood memories and characteristics. This is new magic and has just been approved for use by Dumbledore. But before we start lets get into pairs, you will give your toddler self to your pair to look after."

Shouts filled the room as pairs were decided, Ellie went with Sarah L, Sarah C went with Jamie, Sacha went with Xorsheed and Anna went with Giovanna. When the pairs had been decided he pointed his wand at each of us and muttered something under his breath, before doing extravagant movement. Suddenly a child version of everyone appeared. Gingerly Jamie picked up her toddler and gave her to Sarah. Slowly everyone did the same, amazed at what they could see. Almost immediately tantrums ensued. This was going to be an interesting year Sacha thought.
