JULIUS CLAUD Roman? I haven't heard of that name, but his face and familiar looked strangely familiar. Like Hadriana, I might have seen him in the hallway, the library, or the Social Sciences faculty room. He looked like someone who could spell trouble to me.

Remember what he had just said? He's here to find the person who's sheltering Cleo! Napaka-specific ng word na ginamit niya: sheltering. As if he suspected that one of us would take our missing classmate in.

First, how in the world did he know about that? Wasn't it more logical to think that Cleo might have already ridden a bus and fled the city, never to return again? If I were the murderer, gano'n ang gagawin ko. That would be like I'm asking to be caught!

Second, what made him think that Cleo would come to us, her classmates, instead of her relatives? There's a considerable risk of trusting the wrong people if she would rely on her classmates whom she had only known for what, two or three years?

This unexpected visitor started calling my classmates one by one. I tried pressing my ear on the door discreetly, which others found odd, but I couldn't hear anything. The room was soundproof. If someone's being murdered inside and was screaming for help, we wouldn't know.

This Sir Roman must be so confident to offer his assistance to the university police. The police must also be confident in him because they allowed him to be involved. I know nothing about him, so it's best not to underestimate him.

She looked way sadder today than she was yesterday, when we found out that Cleo fled their unit.

Cleo did not want to let Hadriana know about her whereabouts, so I got to respect that decision. I got to pretend that I had no idea where our runaway classmate went. Let's say it's for the best.

She told me in her last text message to not worry about her.

Well, she's just trying to be a good friend. It's kinda common for siblings to constantly worry about each other, unless they're not that close.
