Ana was studying Maths with Gabbie in a empty classroom.
"So if x is 25, we divide it with 2, and that is y?" Gabbie asked.
"I think so, that must mean that the answer is x=25 and y=12,5."
Ana said looking up from her book with a smile.
"Heck yeah! We solved it!"
Although the happy feeling was short lived.
"Hey Ana, look outside..."
Ana did as her friend told her, and she almost got a heart attack. The traffic had stopped, and humans who should be walking was lying on the pavement, lifeless. Nothing moved, and nothing could be heard. Ana looked at the clock on the wall, it was still going.
"Hey Ana, there is smoke coming in, from the door." Gabbie's voice was weak, but she was right.
"Quick Gabbie, get down on the floor. We need to get down to the school's celler."
"Sorry, but the school doesn't have a celler."
"Yes, it has. Just very few knows about it"

The two girls got down on the floor and started to crawl to the celler. The air was thick and it was hard to breathe. When they were about half way Ana and Gabbie saw three people on the floor like them.
"Do you know a way out?" One of them asked.
"There is no point getting out. Come with us instead." Ana answered.

The group of five, reached the celler and Ana opened a heavy metal door and let them all in.
Down in the celler you could breathe as normal, but it also come with a catch. Three not-so-friendly-looking guys.
"What are you doing here?" One of them asked.
"Yeah, this is our space." Another one  claimed.
"So get the hell out of here!"
The third one said.
"If you three hadn't noticed, there is this gas-thing out side that kills all the people! If we get outside, we are basically dead! And you will have our blood on your hands! So no matter what you three idiots say, we are staying!" You could really hear that Gabbie was pissed of.
"Bullshit"
"What she is saying is true. If we get out there, we would get killed." One of the unknown girls said.
Everyone looked at her. Before one of the three guys spoke:
"Aren't you Louise Regulus' little sister?"
"Yes, Louise is my sister. Do you know her?"
"I know who she is. And you five can stay. I'm Adam." The first guy introduces.
"Liam." The second guy said.
"Samir" The third guy said.
"I'm Scarlett." Louise's sister said. "And this is my friends Cara and Parker." She continued.
Cara and Parker both waved.
"I'm Gabbie and this is Ana." Gabbie points at Ana.
"You know, I can speak for myself." Ana huffed, being annoyed.

Adam, Liam and Samir had designed the cellar. It were a big couch, a flat screen TV, and a mini fridge with sodas and some beers.
The eight signs minded their own business. Scarlett, Parker, Ana, Liam and Adam was playing cards. Gabbie and Samir was scrolling on their phones and Cara was reading a biology textbook. It was peaceful, until Ana caught Adam cheating.
"Hey, thats not fair!"
"Yes it is, you could have done the same!"
"But that is cheating!"
"There is no point playing a game if you're not allowed to cheat!"
"But -"
Ana couldn't answer, because the room got pitch black.
"Whoever turned off the lights, turn it back on!" Liams voice were filled with panic.
But none answered.
"The electricity must be out." Cara stated.
"We could use the flashlight on our mobiles?" Parker asked.
"Good idea, but lets use one at a time to save battery." Cara said, turing on the flashlight on her phone. She placed it in the middle of the room.
"Sorry, but my mobile is dead." Gabbie stated.
"Yeah, mine too" Adam, Liam, Ana and Scarlett said in a meesy unison.
"That means we just have three mobiles." Ana concluded.
"Okey, we use mine and eventually Samir's now, and saves Parker's until tomorrow." Cara decided.
"Sounds good to me!"
They all agreed.
"So what are we doing now?"

The signs decided to tell ghost stories. Becasue that is nothing better to do when you're trying to survive in a pich black celler, with the world going under outside.
Once upon a time there was a old old house, in the middle of the woods. With a old old woman, living there. The woman was crazy. Everyday she would sing the same song over and over again, and her only audience was her favourite tree, Mr. Tree. But one day -

Adam stopped in the middle of the sentence, when he notice all the signs had fell asleep. He really felt offended. Come on, his ghost story wasn't THAT bad. Still mad, Adam decided to also try to sleep. He put his jacket on and curled into a ball, next to Samir.

Next morning, Ana was the first one to wake up. She was really hungry, and she knew; today the needed to leave the cellar and find some food. Next one to wake up was Parker.
"Mornin' Parker" Ana greeted.
He only grunted.
"Do you have any food?" Ana asked trying to spark a conversation.
"Nope"
Ana made a mentally note; Parker is not very talkative in the mornings. Then she gave up on trying to talk to him.

Eventually all eight signs woke up, hoping that yesterday only was a dream. But it wasn't. So today was all about finding food, water, propper pillows and blankets, and also other nessesery things. They also decided to see if there was other survivals.
"How about we split into two groups?" Cara thought out loud.
"Sounds good, I can take the girls in one group, and Adam take the boys in the other?" Ana said while moving her arms around.
"Great! See you later." Adam opened the door carfully and then steped into the old, bit unknown world, with the boys following.

Hello! This is my first ever propper book, or more like chapter. I got quite satisfied with this, so I'm publishing it. I will try to continue to write on this story, but there is a chance that this chapter is going to be the only one. I'm quite nevous, but here goes nothing. Hope you enjoyed! <3
