"Where are these people?" Tiana said, starting to get irritated.
"Calm down, they'll come." Callum said, patting Tiana on the back.A whole 15 mintutes passed, before you could see another group of six coming their way.
"Scarlett!" Louise suddenly shouted. The dark skinned girl looked up and started running towards her sister. The two embraced in a hug.
"I'm so glad to see you." Louise whispered.
"Mhm" Scarlett agreed.
Louise started to feel something wet on her shoulder and she broke the hug. She looked at Scarlett's face and asked;
"Are you crying?"
Scarlett just nodded with tears running down her cheeks.
"Aww, come here!"
The two sisters embraced in one more hug. The other zodiacs just stood there watching.
"At least there is some happiness in this cruel world." Callum suddenly outbrusted, which made the others chuckle. After everybody had introduced themself to everybody. The new formed group of twelve walked together down to the school's celler. Adam opened the hevy door and let them all in. The room was quite small for twelve people and electricity was still out.
"Really luxurious." Tiana made a sarcastic remark.
"At least it is safe." Ana said back with a lot of sass."Okey, should we go through all supplies we got?" Cara spoke up. Everyone one agreed. This is what the ended up with; 15 bagels, 8 apples, 4 mangoes, 2 canned ham, 10 package of noodles, 6 pies, 2 bottles of orange juice, freeze dried coffee, 5 liter of water, 2 flashlights, 5 knifes, 1,5 meter rope, a deck of cards, one lighter, a package of matchsticks and 10 thin blankets.
They decided to ration the food. This evening the got one bagel each, a sixth of canned ham, a twelfth of a bottle of orange juice and two deciliter water each. The rest they saved.
"Lastly, how do we split the blankets?" Liam asked.
"One option is if two sleeps without." Ana said looking around.
But no one volunteered.
"Then two pairs need to share a blanket." Ana continued.
"Well, Scarlett and I can share." Cara suggested.
Scarlett nodded in agreement.
"Good, any other volunteers?" Adam asked.
The room was quiet and they looked around at each other. No one wanted to share the small thin blanket."I guess, I and Victor can share one." Louise said, taking one for the team.
"Yea, sure" Victor agreed.
"So you two are a thing, like a couple?" Gabbie asked carefully.
"No, we are just... really good friends." Victor answered, looking down on the floor.
But Gabbie still caught a glimpse of his red cheeks. The evening continued and the zodiacs keep themselves more or less occupied. Ana, Samir, Adam, Victor, Gabbie and Louise was playing a heated game of cards.
"You can't lay a 2 on top of an Ace."
"Yes that's cheating!"
"No, it's not!"
"I agree, you can lay a 2 on top of anything, except a 10."
"Well, you should have told it from the beginning!"
"Yes, then I would've been the winner already!"
"It's not my fault you guys don't know the rules!"
"Hey, can we just move on with the game! I'm gonna crush all of you!"
"Yea, it's your turn Samir!"Tiana was explaining for Callum and Liam, why she was craving for chocolate.
"You see, I need to eat at least three chocolate bars per day to function. Yesterday, I only had two bars left, so in the afternoon I was going to buy a bunch of them, to keep my inventory full. But then the gas-thing destroyed my plans. I should be out shopping for chocolate, but no, instead I needed to hide in the bakery's cooling room with Callum. And all i could think about was my chocolates. But that wasn't the worst! Today, when we were hunting for food, the group said I couldn't get any chocolate. Why? you may ask. Well, IT WASN'T A PRIORITY!"
"This is the 13th time you tell us that!" Liam complained.
"I can't help it, it's the lack of chocolate in my life!" Tiana answered.
"Callum, do you have any duck tape?" Liam asked.
"Unfortunately not" He answered.
"Hey! If you could just give me a chocolate bar, I would shut up. Promise." Tiana begged.
"None of us have chocolate, T." Callum answered and throwed his arms out.
"You know, I need to eat at least three chocolate bars per day to func-" Tiana begun explaining, but was cut of by Liam.
"TIANA, SHUT UP!"Although, it was the youngest members of the group that was most productive and most wise. Scarlett, Cara and Parker sat in a corner, discussing, how they will best survive.
"I have thought a bit" Cara begun carfully. "I think we should move out in the woods. We have a better chance at surviving there."
"Why?" Scarlett asked.
"Electricity is still out and we can't count on it coming back." Parker explained.
"And no water is coming out of the taps." Cara continued.
"So all comfort the city brings, is out of function." Parker resoned.
"What about soft beds and houses keeping rain and wind away?" Scarlett asked, still not convinced living in the woods.
"Your right, but sooner or later we'll be running out of food and water. If we lived in the woods, it would be easier to get fresh water, hunt for animals, collect food like wild fruit and berries, but also grow our own." Parker argued in a calm voice.
"Sure, you have convinced me." Scarlett said with a small smile.
Cara let out a big yawn.
"Should we tell everyone else tomorrow?" Scarlett asked.
"Agreed." The two others said in unison.
It didn't take many minutes before Cara was asleep. Resting her head on Parker's shoulder.Hi! Thank you so much for reading chapter three. I know not many are reading this book (not that I'm unthankful to those who are), but I wanted to ask for suggestions for ships. I haven't decided anything yet, and are open for everything (not Leo x Scorpio, tho). Once again, thank you for reading. Hope you enjoyed! <3
