One lost Cat- a Dicknette story

Part 7

The weekend had finally come and Marinette was stressing, this would be her first date sense, well she couldn't remember. All the Kwamis wanted to help, and I mean all of them. Marinette had to put her foot down at some point because all their 'helping' was stressing her out more. Dick had texted her 3 hours before to make sure she still wanted to go. Of course, she still wanted to go, she was just really nervous. She was terrified she would screw it up, she started spiraling like she did when she was a teenager. The kwamis watched in amusement, their normally confident and cocky guardian was rambling like a child. Finally, Tikki had enough "Marinette calm down! Everything will be fine. You will wear the little red dress with matching heels and your hair in a simple ponytail and you will enjoy your date!" She shouts. Marinette breaths in and out before changing

She looks at herself in the mirror and her confidence skyrocketed, "Tikki I look really good in red." Tikki nods her eyes filled with pride for the holder she has seen grow. Suddenly the doorbell ring meaning Dick was here, she opens the door and smiles "Hey," he stares in awe at her before remembering what he was doing "Hey, you look beautiful," Marinette blushes "you don't look too bad yourself" he offers her his arm and they walk out.

Once they get to the restaurant they are unsure how to start, "so," "so," they both say, they look at each other before laughing at their awkwardness.  Conversation flows easily now, soon the waiter comes "Hello what would you like to drink?" He says while undressing Marinette with his eyes. Dick answers first drawing the waiter's attention "A water," next "I'll have the same," she answers not sparing him a glance. The night is amazing for both parties. With Dick's jokes and Marinette's sass, nothing could ruin it for them, and nothing did. They went on patrol that night practically glowing. A few dates later and they were a couple, and only fell more in love each day they spent together.

While Dick and Marinette were falling in love Marinette also got to know Chloé more. They became each other's best friends and easily let go of the past. Marinette ended up giving Chloé a spring line, and all the profits when to charities that supported young kids. It gave them the chance to follow their dreams something both girls wished they focused harder on. Despite that, they are both happy exactly where they stand in life.

A few years later Marinette is walking down the aisle with Jason and Roy (Arsenal) giving her away. Her made of honor is Chloé and Dick's best man was Tim. The wedding was beautiful and at the end, the priest said "you may kiss the bride," Dick practically picked Marinette up as they kissed and the crowd roared with cheers.

"Dick, can you get the kids ready for school? I need to head to the bakery!" She waits for the response of "Of course, I'm already waking them up!" before heading out the door.

The Grayson family piles into their car and head to the manor for Christmas. "Are you guys ready to see everyone?" two children, one boy, one girl, cheer from their car seats. "Who are you most excited to see?" Dick questions the girl answers first "Uncle Dami!" quickly the little boy responds "Really, Mary? I'm more excited to see Great Granpa Alfred," Mary turns to her brother "Alfred doesn't count John, everyone gets excited to see him!" Soon the kids brainstorm their favorite family members and automatically put Alfred at the top, yes even above their parents, but they understand why.

Life was great and Marinette sometimes can't help but think back to her past self "Hey fluff is it time?" She asks said Kwami nods its head. "Alright, Fluff Clockwise!" Marinette hops through the portal and appears in the time hole. Once she finds the right time she hops through. "Hey past me!" She calls out, past Marinette looks at her and raises her eyebrow "Why are you here?" She just smiles "At the Gotham heist make sure to get caught, you'll get your revenge on those dumb supers." Past her nods and she watches present Marinette hop through the portal again. Once Marinette resurfaces on the other side she appears right in front of Dick. "What were you doing?" He asks, she de-transforms before answering "Fluff Counter Clockwise!" She smiles at him before walking up and giving him a kiss "I told myself to get caught, just like I was told too all those years ago, I was told I was going to get my revenge, which technically wasn't a lie, but I also secured my happily ever after." She says as they are hugging, swaying back and forth. He smiles at his beautiful wife "I'm glad you think I'm your happily ever after," she studies him "of course you are when you found me I was lost, now I have everything I've ever wanted, and I could never be happier with anyone else." They kiss one last time before their kids come barging in.
