<<Time Skip (3 years)>>
(You are 16. Jeffery is 17. Liu is 18.)
~Regular POV~
It had been 3 long years since the Woods moved away. You kept your promise and called them everyday. Every now and again, Liu and Jeffery would come to your house for some catching up time.
Whenever you got lonely, you'd visit the people who moved into the old Woods residents. They were a nice old couple who loved your company. The older gentleman would tell you about the wars he was in. The older lady would teach you how to knit, crochet, and sew. They didn't have grandchildren, so you were like their own.
Until one fateful day, when the moon was full, and there was not a cloud in the night sky. You heard a loud, ear piercing scream, coming from what sounded like across the street. You panicked and grabbed your phone. You dialed 911, still not knowing what was going on across the way.
Minutes later, an ambulance and police cars came swarming in from both ends of the street. You opened your front door and ran to the scene. You were stopped by and oversized male cop. All you could do now, was wait and watch.
After about 30 minutes pasted, EMTs came out with two stretchers. On one was a body bag and the other, the older lady. You couldn't help but break down and cry. A female cop came running over to you and tried to calm you down. You fell to your knees and let out everything you had cooped up inside you.
"Shh. Shh. Hun, don't cry. He's in a better place now." She tried comforting you.
All you could do was cry.
She let you go and started whispering with another male cop. You slowly calmed yourself down, just in case they needed you. Sure enough, they did.
"Hey hun, Mrs. Crane (the old lady) would like to talk to you." She said with a sweet, motherly voice.
You staggered to your feet and ran like your life depended on it. You reached the older lady and let out a soft cry. She took your hand and looked straight into your eyes.
"Dear... don't cry. You... have... no reason... to. Don't... worry... I'll be... okay. If not... I'll be in... a better place. Just remember... us and... we'll remember... you too." She said slowly and quietly.
"I-I will. Don't leave me! I need you! Please don't leave me! I'll always remember you! Just don't leave!" You pleaded.
You got no response back. The grip she had on your hand loosened. You looked down at her, her eyes had closed and her chest stopped rising.
"NO! I told you not to leave me! NO!" You cried.
You let go of her hand and fell, once again, to your knees. Someone came up to you and placed their hand on your shoulder. You looked up with teary eyes to get a look at who it was.
"Oh baby. I'm sorry." Your mom said kindly.
Standing next to her was the female cop from earlier. "Don't cry Hun, it's okay. I'm sorry. But, as a cop, I have to ask you some questions. Is that okay?"
You nodded your head and slowly stood to your feet. You clung tightly onto your mother's arm to keep your balance. You arrived back to your front door and walked in, your mother in front of you and the cop in the back.
(I'm too lazy to write, bare with me)

Cop: Okay. Thank you for your time.
