Shinso didn't understand why everyone at UA was convinced that he and Eraserhead were related.
On his first day in the hero course, he was barely through the 2-A classroom door when the pink alien lady asked him, 'Are you and Aizawa-sensei relatives?', as she blocked his way to the room.
When homeroom period began, he couldn't help but overhear tape guy and the red-haired dude whispering how much he and Eraserhead looked alike. He ignored them as he walked to the front to give an obligatory introduction to the class.
On his way back to his desk, he could've sworn the invisible one had her eyes on him, feeling the hair on the back of his neck stand. He heard her mumble the words, 'their eyes look so similar', before he finally made it to his chair.
At the end of first period, the frog girl sitting in front of him asked how he got Aizawa-sensei to train him personally. After all, it was an open secret that the underground hero never liked extra work. He was never known to take in disciples either, or play favorites throughout his entire teaching career.
When the lunch bell rang, it was the explosive hothead who went over to his desk, yelling something about not losing to him even if he had a top-notch hero as a mentor. The spiky-haired blonde went on to tell him not to get too cocky just because Eraserhead had his back.
Shinso had half a mind to use his quirk to shut him up, but he decided it wasn't worth it. So he left the fuming blonde behind to head to the cafeteria instead. He was glad some of the them managed to convince the loudmouth not to antagonize him further. At least there were some people in his class who had common sense.
He pretended not to hear the calls of Midoriya and his group to come join them at their lunch table. After all, he wasn't here to make friends. Every single person in his class was a rival, and he was already several hundred steps behind. He didn't have time to waste.
When he sat by one of the isolated tables with a tray of his food, he was stunned to find the half-and-half honor student moving to sit on the chair across him. The scar on the shorter boy's face intensified the unyielding gaze he was sending him.
"Are you Aizawa-sensei's illegitimate love child?"
He didn't know if this guy was serious, or if he was just trying to fuck with him. He didn't stay long enough to find out.
He took a quick trip to the bathroom before afternoon classes began, deciding to return with just a minute to spare. That way he could have a few more moments of silence.
He opened the door to the 2-A classroom, pausing before he could pull it out all the way. There was currently a very heated, very passionate argument going on about him and his connection to Eraserhead.
"There's no way they're not related."
"Have you seen their eyes?"
"The poofy fluffy hair!"
"And the personality. You can't fake that!"
"I once ran into them outside of school leaving a cat cafe!"
"For real?!"
"When?!"
"Just before school started! I couldn't believe it! And they both just nodded at me and walked away like it was a normal thing!"
"So they hang out during breaks too?!"
"Well, sensei does train him... So I guess it's expected that they spend a lot of time together?"
"I can't believe sensei actually gave him his cloth binds!"
"And he doesn't even let us touch it."
