Leaving Home

Madison POV
Today, I woke up this morning with the most utter excitement, I was finally leaving to go to Harvard Law School! I was obviously nervous because who wouldn't be after getting into their dream school so after getting up I went on my phone and watched some "The Originals" because Elijah and Klaus afterward then I took a shower and put on shorts and a sweater and put my hair in a bun.I walked downstairs and saw my mom, I was gonna miss her.
"Hey Momma, " I said walking into the kitchen,
"Oh Honey, I am gonna miss you so much!" she said walking toward me,
" Remember darling, you need to focus don't let any foolish boys get in the way of your education and also come and visit me I am gonna miss you so much!" Engulfing me in a hug
"Mom ill come back for Thanksgiving and see you."
"Oh yes about that, we are going to your grandparents this year instead of at home."
she said walking back continuing to make breakfast,
"Ok, so Ill just book a flight straight there when I leave from school." I say looking down at my watch and sigh
"Ok momma I gotta go," and of course my mom starts getting emotional " Oh, need a ride to the airport?" as a tear rolls down her cheek.
See me and my Mom are very close and this is our very first time being away from each other longer than a week and I knew I was gonna miss her like crazy and the same way back.
"Mom don't cry, that and I don't need one my Uber is gonna be here ant minute."
I knew that if I let my mom drive Ill be late to my flight because she always prolongs things to the last minute so I'm worried she is gonna lock me in the car or just drive around the neighborhood until my flight leaves.
"Im sorry, Im just gonna miss you so much. Im gonna be all alone with both you and your brother gone." she says sadly tears in her eyes and with that my phone dings saying that my Uber is here.so I hug her one last and grab my suitcase and backpack and head towards the door.
"I love you mom," I saw while opening the door
"I love you to baby." she looks down to the floor while she has tears down her face, I shut the door and place my suitcase in the trunk and head off toward LAX.
