It was horrible, I was sweating profusely and I was trapped in the dark, there was no escape. My arms were flailing around attempting to grab something until two strong arms wrapped around me, and a calming hum was coming from above me.
The moment I felt his arms around me I knew I was safe. "Bakugou."
"Shh, you're okay, I'm here, you're safe."
Those comforting words were all I needed, all the fear I felt before went away. The darkness had enveloped me before, but now it was him, just him.
~time skip~
Last night had been a nightmare, both metaphorically and literally. After I had woken up Kacchan, I had been restless the rest of the night causing him to get no sleep as well.
"Oi, you plan on getting up anytime soon idiot? It's past noon already." I found myself pinned under Kacchan, his blonde spiky hair covering his face ever so slightly and his eyes looking more tired then usual.
"I don't wannaaa," I whined and went to turn on my side, pulling our quilt up over my head, but Kacchan flipped me over on my back and took the covers, throwing them across the room. "You're an ass."
"I know." He reached over our queen sized bed and picked up a little f/c gift bag with white wrapping paper bundled on top.
"What's that?"
"What's it look like dumbass?" I guess I walked right into that one.
"Well it looks like a gift bag, but why?"
He rubbed the back of his neck and blushed slightly, "what, I can't just randomly get you a gift?"
I giggled and cupped his cheek, turning his face towards mine, "if you want to you can." I lightly kissed him on the lips and went for my gift.
Once the massive amounts of wrapping paper was around me I came upon a box, it was quite small and white, "awah, you got me a box, how considerate." I looked up at him beaming and he looked dead inside. "Got it, not funny, whatever."
I opened the box to find a little white silicone cat curled up in a ball. I looked at it confused, "it's a nightlight." He said as if it were obvious.
"How?"
"How what?"
"How is this a nightlight?"
He took it from my hands and pushed the back of it, his face lit up along with the cat. "It can change into a ton of different colors along with one setting where it flashes all the colors." He continued to click it until it turned into a sort of disco.
"It's adorable." I watched as he continued to play with it, pressing its back over and over again.
"Kacchan, you're going to break it."
"No, y/n, I won't actually, it came with rechargeable batteries so it'll live."
I shook my head, laughing at his sarcastic tone.
"Thank you Kacchan."
He looked up and smiled a bit, "I was just hoping I could get some sleep."
"Yeah, yeah, don't lie, you love me, you just wanted to buy me a gift didn't you?"
"Nope, I gotta say, I think I love my sleep more."
"Mhm?"
"Mhm."
We both lightly laughed and then there was a pause. I think we both know he really just wanted to help me, which is unusual for Bakugou, but he's a softy, deep, deep down.
"You're so cute." He looked up clearly a little shocked.
Whoops, I said that out loud.
I rubbed the back of my neck and laughed awkwardly, "I just mean, you care so much, you try to hide it but it's so obvious, so...thank you for caring. I love you Bakugou."
He smiled, and without hesitation, denied that he truly and whole heartedly cares. He tackled me and began tickling me till I couldn't breath, "Kacchan, you ass hat, get ooof meeee!"
He laughed and stopped tickling me, he moved his hand to my hair and tucked a strand behind my ear. "You're so beautiful."
I grabbed his hand and kissed his knuckles, "no you."
He got up to grab our quilt and tackled me once more, this time pulling me into a blanket burrito and showered me in kisses.
What a dork, was the last thing I though before we both drifted off to sleep.
