Safety

When Korra and I got to air temple island, the sun was setting and my stomach was eating itself. I swung my crutches out off the car and moved swiftly across the island. Korra was going at a slight jog to keep up with me.

"Slow down speedy Gonzales," Korra yelled.

I chuckled, " Well now look whose helping who Ms. Avatar."

She rolled her eyes and continued her light jog up to the main building. When we got there Tenzin walked out and greeted us, "Good day to you two, now Asami can I take your assistant from you?"

"As long as you don't rough her up too much, I still need her help for English." I joked.

Tenzin chuckled and Korra rolled her eyes. They walked off to the training area and left me to fend for my self.

I moved to the main building and was nearly trampled when I opened the door.

"Meelo no fair you know we aren't allowed to go around the cripple!" Ikki shouted.

"Well I'm not the one whose falling behind. Besides I didn't even see this woman coming!" Meelo shot back.

Before things got anymore heated the eldest of the three, Jinora, came in. "What are you guys argueing about? I'm trying to meditate."

"Meelo went around Asami during our air scooter race even though it is clearly stated that we are not allowed to do that!" Ikki answered.

"I didn't see her enter the room!!" Meelo spat.

Jinora put her hands to her temples and yelled, "Meelo you need to watch were you're going, Ikki you need to understand when things are an accident, and both of you we aren't allowed to air scooter in the house! For spirits sake."

"Jinora you know you're not soppost to use that type of language." Pema, their mother, yelled from across the hall.

Jinora sighed but went to her mother for her punishment.

I left the other two siblings debating and left for my room. Well mine and Korra's room, she is the only one who takes care of me so it kinda makes sense.

I opened the door and layed down on the bed. I thought about the kiss, how it felt, how she did it, the delicateness of it. I sighed and got my phone out and scrolled through instagram. I still couldn't get my mind off of her though. I stopped and looked at the time, 5:30. I decided to go out for some air. I grabbed my crutches and started getting up when I heard a scream. Korra.

I looked out the window and saw equalists on the island. I moved as fast as I could out of the building, once outside I felt a sharp pain in my back and fell to the ground. I tried to get up but my legs would fail me every time.

I looked up and saw Korra in mid air straining to be let free. I saw Amon coming towards her, with his mask giving him a permanent smile on his face.

"Nooooo!" Me and Korra screamed in unison. I saw her body shake as she tried to break free. I could see the fear in her eyes as she struggled. I wanted to cry, she didn't need this.

Amon put one hand on her forehead and the other on her chest. No, I thought, I have to get to her.

I moved my arms and pushed myself up, I felt the searing pain in my leg. I was wobbly, but I managed. "Amon," I yelled,"If you take her bending away, the police force is the least of your worries."

Amon and korra looked over at me, Korra smiled. She saw that I was standing on my own, she looked genuinely happy.

Amon, with a flick of his wrist, put me in mid air. He looked back down at the avatar, "Looks like I've already won Avatar."

Her body went limp and hit the ground, I started crying. Korra loved her bending, she needed it as well. Amon came over to me, "Now that I have destroyed you, you're freind here is going to wish she had bending."

He put his hand on my forehead and the other on my chest, there was pain that flowed through my body. It felt like I had been struck by lightning. But I saw blue and red, the lights, I saw those lights on me and Amon.

Amon was red, I was blue. The red inched its way on to me and continued its way up my body. But I saw my mom, Korra, Tenzin and his family, and Bolin all standing there, smiling. I knew I wanted to be apart of that, I fought back against him, the red became the blue.

When it was over, Amon dropped me and fell to the ground. He tried controling me but failed, "What....what did you do to me?"

"The same thing you did to all the other benders, I took your bending. You're powerless now." I said.

Korra came running up to me, "Asami!" She cheered, "I'm so thankful he didn't kill you. I don't know what I would've done if you got hurt."

"You shouldn't worry about me, we should be focusing on getting your bending back." I replied.

She shook her head," no Asami let me finish," I nodded and she went on, "I care so much for you. You're like family to me, no more than family. Asami, you're the world to me, if something happened to you I would never forgive myself. I still don't forgive myself for what Mako did to you. I don't think I ever will either, you can't even walk on your own." She cried into my arms, soaking my shirt.

I let her cry, knowing that she needed to let it out. When she stopped she looked confused, I saw her look at me then my lips. I put my hand on hers and stroked it. She understood and she carried me back into the temple.

She didn't need this, not right now.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, everything in my house decided that they wanted to break so ive been busy with that but I'll tell you this the story is soon coming to a wrap (NOOOOOOOO) It's just that i don't have availability to any electronics at the moment and I don't want to keep you guys waiting any longer. It is still the same story but with filler chapters taken out. Anyways, stay warm, eat good food,  and be happy.
