Chapter 16

I get back into reality when Matt is pulling me out of the car. When I step out, I see a beautiful beach. “Wow, this is amazing.” I say to Matt as he grabs my hand. I smile at him when he does this.At first everyone just play in the ocen. Matt and I are just in our own world.

We just keep splashing each other. It’s so much fun. We’re splashing each other when Matt just swoops in and kisses me. It’s really nice. I guess the boys start to notice because on of them wolf whistles. “Get a room.” someone says.

“Okay, lovers. Let’s have some fun.” Drew says, pushing in between us. Drews been acting weird, but  soon dismiss the thought as we approach jet skis. Taylor is angry, I can see it in his eyes. “Let’s make this fun.”

Carter says as he claps his hands. “Everyone pair up. We’re gonna race, so whoever goes around the boundaries once, and get’s here, where we started first wins.”  Before we start getting in pairs Taylor says “What does the winner get?”

We all think for a few seconds when Drew says “The winners get free dinner, the losers, the last ones to come back, have to pay for it. Sounds fair?” Everyone nods so we start pairing up.

Here are the pairs, Jack and Jack, Taylor and Drew, Nash and Cameron, Carter and Aaron, Hayes and Shawn, and last but not least Matt and I. We all get strapped into our lifejackets and start. To be honest I was so scared, but I held on to Matt like there was no tomorrow.

We were actually in the lead. Matt was getting really into it, and I was having fun. Well that was until Taylor and Drew came by. The actually did a turn that was so big that a big wave came towards Matt and I. It ended up knocking us both into that water. I ended up hitting my toe on the side of the jetski, and it was hurting really bad.

Matt and I couldn’t get back on so we did what the people told us to do if we were stuck. We clung onto each other for dear life.

I was basically like a koala on him. The best thing was that we both kept calm, and waited for someone to help us. A few minutes later and a lot of praying someone on a motor boat helps us. By now all of the boys are back on land.

They give a blanket and tell us to lay down. When we get on shore they ask if we got hurt in anyway.  Matt says that he feels a bit dizzy, and I tell them about my toe. They take Matt to the infirmary to get some pills and ask me if I’m able to walk. I try to get up, but the pain in my toe is horrible.

A few tears actually come out. I somehow manage to say no. All of the boys start coming around me. I actually see remorse in Drew eyes. Unlike Drew, Taylor is trying to to smile. Jack G sees this and elbows Taylor and says something to him. The people give me crutches, and guided me to the infirmary. The boys, including Matt went back to the hotel.

The doctor said that my toe is fractured so I will have to wrap it, and have crutches. At least I don’t have to wear a boot. Drew comes back and picks me up. I don’t talk to him. It’s not that i’m mad, I’m just tired. Swimming takes a lot out of me, and it’s time to sleep.

Well, it’s only 5:30, but whatever. I sit farthest away from Drew the ride. Somehow he manages to get close beside me.
